If he held out because of how things would go for another person of a different skin tone or sex, his reasoning makes sense. This does not mean his actions are correct/incorrect. This is a reflection of a faulty justice system because if you can kill anyone unprovoked, there is something wrong with you mentally. The justice system is not designed to treat or rehabilitate anyone, it’s a strict punishment for profit system.
With that being said, if we are only going by the laws/practices that are already put into place, looking at prior planning to kill her children, and sending her husband away while she committed the acts.
That’s premeditated, which means she should be found guilty of capital murder/first degree murder.
TLDR: The justice system needs reformation to help people. However, under the current laws she’s should be found guilty of first degree murder.
Also, don’t feed into the divisive political stances or social wars that cases like this are being used for.
