It sounds more like he was bringing an emotionally driven argument into a discussion that is supposed to be based on 100% objective evidence.

Seems to me like the objective evidence showed to him that no person could go and strangle their kids to death multiple times without ever once snapping out of it. Like wtf.

And the prosecution was required to prove that “something didn’t exist in the past” to make their case which is logically, absurd.

For real, Idgaf about insanity or not she killed 3 kids. She can rot in solitary for the rest of her life.

Because torturing her would right the wrong that has been done? Shouldn't justice be about making society a better place and not enacting societal revenge fantasies? How does more violence carried out in anger make anything better?

Beyond this, y'all have some weird idea of what a mental hospital for the criminally insane is like. Imagine instead of being locked up with all sorts of criminals, including many nonviolent ones who just want to complete their sentence, you were locked up with all the ones who don't have an actual grasp on reality, you were constantly drugged up into a zombie, and you still had no hope of ever seeing anywhere outside that hospital again. It's basically still prison.

Permanent solitary is downright torture. You should never be allowed to be on a jury.
