I was in... kindergarten? Little building beside a church, 20-odd kids. I remember being in the playroom and it was like everything went silent. Heard the news in the next room on the mounted tube TV, I remember very clearly passing through the threshold just in time to see live feed of the second plane.
I don't remember too much about my childhood but that one sticks. I can't say I was horrified, I was like 5. But I recall feeling the weight.
