I said it on the fucking McDonalds "prankster" video, I'll say it again- If you do pranks that involve illegal activity like assault (even phony ones like this) or trespassing, your punishment should be a complete shutdown of online activity, with prison sentences for those who break the conviction agreement. It's not hard to track the breach of conviction there.

I'm not sure how the US works, but in canada this is assault. If he had actually hit the guy it would've been battery.

Edit: I've actually got it mixed up, in the US this is assault too, but it's the US that has a seperate battery charge. This would also be assault in Canada.

There really needs to be restrictions on filming in public. It's not 1996 anymore where maybe someone occasionally has a camcorder, everyone has a video recording device in their pocket, and it's having negative societal effects.

Also, the mass surveillance network's gotta go too. Widespread camera systems with license plate readers, facial recognition, gait detection, and cellphone tracking hardware? Fuck all that.

Yeah, ha ha, remember when hacking was a federal crime in the US and convicted hackers weren't allowed to own or use computers for like 10 years or something? People wouldn't be able to function in society now. They couldn't even apply for a job, but in a way I think we do need to go back to that. You're exactly right, no social media accounts allowed for internet stupidity crimes.
