It probably wont happen at all, these people have the younger generations by the balls and the people don't care they are used to being treated like shit
pretty sure no, many communities are self aware . in gacha though no matter how specific you word it to avoid any misunderstanding that you are criticizing the company and not the players or whatever they will still treat it as a personal attack and become hostile like it's a cult.
Not quite the same. You can say “weed rules but too much is really bad for your health” and then if you they attack you, yeah, they’re addicted. Same thing here.
Is it? I mean, we get those opinions regularly on a Genshin sub, but the problem isn't that we don't want to hear about it, problem is that those opinions are simply wrong and spouted by people who neither played the game nor have any idea what they're taking about. Like, game has plenty of issues, but they go for one's that are non-existent or not present at all, and expect the treat for "fighting the good fight"
i played genshin for 2 and a half years and whenever i speak about my experience nobody believe me, uses all kind of mental gymnastic to frame me as a fake player without any attempt at touching my points. it's like a cult where mihoyo is a god and their games the gospel.
now i am not hating these people or anything since i know they are victims inside a rather big echo chamber which make it very difficult to get an objective view of it whole.
i mostly just think it's a lost cause and forget about it
A few years ago I would probably agree with you but now, at least in the US, if consumers somehow hurt both Microsoft and Sony's bottom line, (again, in the US) all they'd have to do is bribe a certain someone and both companies would recover any lost profits via taxpayer dollars.
