Not to mention that a 3rd of all wolverine profits immediately enters the mouse's coffers. Wolverine needs to sell 8 mill at least to break even.

Maybe. You’re assuming that Marvel’s deal is flat x% rate. It’s very possible that it’s a tranched rate until y point.

I’ve done deals like this. They’re always complicated.

Uhm you know profits are computed after production cost is recouped right?So if Wolverine sells 4 million copies,they deduct the production cost,then compute for the profit sharing.
