I took a nutrition class and learned about the “flexitarian” diet where you essentially minimize intake of meat and processed food but not cutting out all together. Hydrogen sulfide isn't the worst to deal with. It's dense, so escape to the atmosphere isn't as problematic. It burns to form harmless and easily collectible sulfur oxides. Only real issue is the production of sulfuric acid if it burns in excess oxygen, but even then that is a problem humans have learned to manage.

Transportation costs scale with mass, so while liquid fertilizer might require less processing, it might not be as efficient depending on how separation is performed.

You've never seen what we do to captured Orcas, train them, and leave the bored to death? What about melting beaks off chickens while feeding them 24 hours a day with the lights always on, so they will lay eggs non-stop? How we put cattle in pens with no room to manuever so they can stand in their own piss and shit. Growing them so we can kill them and eat them? What about forcing female cows to always be lactating by making them pregnant, and stealing their babies to be used as food? Have you seen how they "farm" salmon, but never give them the chance to eat krill. Their meat comes out gray, and has to be colored orange. The truth is, we have them in underwater cages and all they do is swim around in big groups.

It's a good thing you haven't seen how we steal animals from their parents so we can put them in cages to be stared at all day by kids.

This is the link to the documentary Earthlings. It's very confronting and the first 10 minutes made me go vegetarian for 3 months, and was one of the first steps towards going fully vegan.

Given a six-month period to go from feeder to market, that's roughly 200K adult hogs at any given time. A market hog is 220-250 pounds and consumes 5-9 lbs of feed per hog, per day (depending on current and desired weights). Two market hogs on sizing feed will easily shit enough to fill a bucket every day. So that's 100K buckets of pig shit, or somewhere between 300K-500K gallons of pig shit every day (accounting for some air gaps if it's more solid than liquid).

It's not interesting. It's revolting. These animals live in overcrowded pens their entire lives and never see the light of day. Sows are forced to lay on their sides to be impregnated and feed piglets. They aren't able to get up to move around. The "industrialized" meat industry is an abomination.
