Pretty sure anniversary should only be tied to anniversary date. At worst it would be spread over like 5-7 days in mails or daily logins or whatever, but it should still be plenty enough to finish before the 1st half banners end.

Also we just got a post with event schedule and main event is first half. And it's not true that they always spread the rewards. In fact most of updates they have most primos in the first half, and second half only gets like 20 or so free pulls (even when the total is 80+). Lantern Rite is kind of an exception, since it's also more or less tied to the real world date.

Yes. That's exactly why they are doing this, it's very much targeted at whales, especially those who believe they NEED every character AND their signature. Though they are also targeting low spenders, forcing  people to burn through their F2P/Welkin wishes at an unsustainable rate if they want multiple new characters, forcing them to go for top-ups in the first place.

Not sure how that's cursed. Cursed would have been sharing it with Skirk, whose weapon has a useless passive on literally everyone else but herself. The best possible combo would have been Vesna/Escoffier since Vesna and Escoffier's signatures are both universally useful across a large number of characters, though. Escoffier's weapon is especially strong on Iansan and Chevreuse.

But as it is, it's not like Vodyanitsa's signature is terrible. It's very nice on many characters besides Vodyanitsa herself, and makes rotations more flexible than using TTDS.

Please ignore the other comment which is clearly incorrect. Vodya can be a sidegrade to C0 Furina in a team with Mona, yes, but definitely not with a C1+ Furina.

The best Skirk team by far is going to be Skirk, Furina, Escoffier, Vodya. Vodya is a significant upgrade compared to C4 Mona and a huge upgrade compared to Shenhe (which is worse than Mona) for the 4th slot.

The problem is that the upgrade compared to Mona is similar to Skirk signature weapon, and a bit bigger than getting C1 Escoffier. However, depending on boss, you might want to play a cryo option in the 4th slot. For this reason, in practice, I would only consider Vodya after your Skirk is R1 and Escoffier is C1.

Vodyanitsa will not be good for on-field Tsaritsa. Based on current leaks (always subject to change, take with a grain of salt) it's looking like the Tsaritsa is being designed a bit like Columbina, where she can off-field or on-field, and thus support Sandrone, Vesna or Mitya or take the on-field role herself.

Vodyanitsa and Tsaritsa will likely only be premium together when combined with Vesna and Odette.

If i were you I'd just just skip this entire patch. Vesna is pretty good but her pull value isn't really that high considering mizuki fills the same role and she's free. Vodya is only good for vesna and skirk, and for vesna it's a minimal upgrade, she mainly brings qol And escoffier is ok as a last slot on ssc teams, but she's basically a qiqi/nicole sidegrade and overall her niche is freeze. If you don't have skirk there's no point in getting her
