My 5. Is people like this don't get technology, and they think they are slick. It's a terrible mix.
I had a older customer once and I had to remote into her computer as she felt she was hacked. She told me "I don't mind if you look at my only fans photos while your looking around"
Gross.

That's true, but even on apps like Grindr, consent still matters. Sharing photos without permission can really cross a line.

It’s really just basic respect and consent, neither of which requires an IQ test.

They use too many dating apps and have a low iq. It’s like porn addicts walking the streets expecting everyone doing cable repair work to be a sex worker.

Its this. They dont realize women dont get turned on the same way men do. Theres a reason why men would rather watch porn and women read it

u/AdmiralStickyLegs 12h ago
Presumably it worked at one point, when they were young and hot. So they kept doing it, even as the response rate fell. Now they try it and it doesnt work and they think "What the f is wrong with everyone these days? People were so much friendlier in the past"
9
2
u/StrangelyBrown 10h ago
Yep, it's a failure of empathy, to just think that 'I would want them to do that, therefore they must want me to do that'. When they could, even without empathy, google 'Do women generally want unsolicited pictures of male bodies' and find the general consensus.

u/StirFry__InaWok 13h ago
immoral actions don't just cancel out like that.
if a person gets a home intruder threatening them with a deadly weapon but manages to disarm and subdue them, do you think it would be morally neutral for the homeowner to then rape the captive home intruder? if so, how long does this neutral rape last before it becomes immoral? a few days? weeks?
maybe you don't consider home intrusion and robbery with a deadly weapon to be proportional to rape, but I think you get what I mean.

If you send a picture of yourself to a stranger randomly without them asking you to then I think it’s fair that they have the right to share the photo with the internet. Regardless of what state of undress you are in. If you don’t want someone to share your pictures don’t send that to random people on the internet…
4
u/Any_Table9811 4h ago
This is not even remotely true. Just because someone harasses you doesn’t mean you can defame and harass them back. This is similar to revenge porn cases.
3
u/PahkYaCahh 4h ago
I do agree with what you're saying, but at the end of the day I bet you he won't do this again to someone else. This will also spread the word to don't do this to all the would be dick pic bandits out there. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. However, I don't think it's fair that the lady in his profile pic finds out the hard way. Not that I get dick pics, I'm married and a dude so eeww. But I would have researched the guy found the woman in the picture and send it to her directly without publicly humiliating him. That turmoil at home would be enough to stop him directly from considering doing that again wether he is with that person in the picture or not anymore. There's also the consideration of if this is a first time thing or if he was repeatedly doing it to her. Even the first time is not called for but if she told him to stop and he continued yes absolutely he gets the treatment
1
u/IsadorCZ 15m ago
Ok. Now change the genders...
1
u/National_Phase_3477 11m ago
Yeh it’s still moral if a lass sends her pics of her minge to a rando on the internet without their consent. You don’t send a picture to someone you don’t know unprompted and just assume there not going to share it. These are boundaries you agree before you send the pic. If you violate someone else’s boundaries by sending a pic without there consent then you can’t be offended when they do the same back. It’s just I don’t know any woman who actually would do that…
1
u/IsadorCZ 10m ago

I agree with this, but it goes for everything. If you post your pic online, whether you're a woman or man, no need to complain when it gets spread by perverts or trolls. This was common sense 20 years ago, now people just put anything personal online it feels like

its almost a gift in a way, you can’t really get mad at someone for doing what they want with the gift you gave them to impress them? Seduce them? And then get rejected
2
u/Fucker_Of_Destiny 33m ago
Her account is suspended for violating the TOS, but from my experience if someone had a jewel/diamond in their name/bio it means they are usually a sex worker.
So considering her account is suspended, and she has the diamond, there’s a reasonable chance that this wasn’t just a random man messaging a random girl, but in fact a potential client messaging a SW.
5
u/dontdropducks 16h ago
I mean, morally I think it’s totally fine. If not good because it likely stops further actions like this in the future.
Legally, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if scumbags who sent shit like this without permission would be able to make a revenge porn argument in court.
That said, if you send someone something like this without consent, I don’t feel bad in the slightest if evidence of your misdeeds is made public. It’s much more than just flirting.
4
u/metamorphosis___ 13h ago
Genuine question, if a women sends an unsolicited nude (extremely rare) would you find it immoral to spread it and shame her?
3
u/dontdropducks 13h ago
No. Sending unsolicited nudes is morally wrong regardless of who is doing it and this warning people about someone doing it is morally good.
Shaming them insures there is punishment for an improper sexual action.
It’s funny, I’ve had a similar type of situation happen in the past. I just told the lady I wasn’t interested and that she shouldn’t do it. But I wouldn’t blame someone for publicly shaming someone who sent that.
6
u/stackens 15h ago
Idk how revenge porn is legally defined but I don’t think unsolicited pics you sent to a stranger qualify
2
u/dontdropducks 14h ago
I would hope they don’t but knowing how many loopholes exist is the US legal system I wouldn’t be surprised lol
4
u/savvy-librarian 15h ago
An image like this does not meet the lawful standard for what is defined as pornography. At least not in the US anyway.
2
u/dontdropducks 15h ago
I’m assuming there’s more that was cut off. But if there isn’t then yeah it wouldn’t qualify as anything like that legally.
3
6
u/Big-Dot-9084 14h ago
Justifiable but immoral. Its still posting personal pictures, but both people in there immoral. Just because the sender is worse doesn't make the leaking of personal pictures moral.
6
u/dmcent54 13h ago
"My actions shouldn't have consequences" should be the title of this sub, because y'all argue that everything is immoral when it is inherently not immoral. The paradox of tolerance is that to tolerate the intolerant causes a rise in intolerance. Extrapolate that how you will.

I'm opposed to posting private correspondence in general. Send it to his wife if you feel indignant on her behalf, but posting to the general public, whether photos or any other identifiable information is immoral.
3
u/New-Assumption-3836 15h ago
The offense isn't just to his wife but to the person who was harassed unprompted by this man. Correspondence implies the communication was two-way he just sent that on his own. The consequences of unwanted advances should be his to deal with, not with a victim to mitigate

u/Expensive_Range7204 15h ago
Idk
I see a lot of people arguing that is okey to publicly shame pepole for sending such pictures since they dont get consent first.
And well i do agree that you shud get consent particularly before you send pictures of genitalia.
But at the same time i dont think publicly shaming people is okey, and i suspect that if men publicly shamed women for sending nude pictures to them the reaction would be diffrent.
Now i understand that it is rarer that women do this but it does happen.

First off, congrats on presenting a morality scaling post that isn’t in bad faith or sarcastic. I can’t make up my mind on this.
It’s immoral to send photos like this to somebody without their consent, but I’m not sure that I’d say it’s moral to try and publicly punish them like this.
But also, do I care at all that it happened and this (maybe married? somebody is in that profile pic w/him) older man messaging a young girl FAFO? No.
So I guess immoral but not enough that I care.
Edit: wtf is a happy bunny?

1
u/Mephistocheles 8h ago
I think if someone is simultaneously this creepy and this stupid, deciding to post the pic online is pretty moral, especially because if he's done this to one girl he's done it to others, and nothing is probably going to stop him from continuing to do it unless there is some kind of pushback or consequence.

u/Yet-Another-ScrewUp 6h ago
In my view once you send a photo to someone you make that photo their property to with as they wish. Now I get people may have a long drawn out discussion about that pov but hear me out....
You can not control what another person does with photos once they are sent, especially unsolicited photos. So why would you take the risk and send them in the first place? I swear I have heard of group chats where women share and rate unsolicited dick pics, kinda like a wall of shame so to speak.
Sooooo if you don't want risky photos being "leaked" on the web then maybe you shouldn't send risky photos in the first place. It's like people forget that they are the creator of the situations they find themselves in.

u/Dukklings 16h ago
Immoral. This is why I tell people to never send explicit photos of themselves to anybody. Not even their own boyfriends or girlfriends or spouses or whatever else. Because the instant they get angry you have given them all the leverage they will ever need. And that's not even the worst version of the scenario that could play out. People hate me for saying it but there is no girl. There is no cute boy. And you're not that attractive. Half the time it's a grown sweaty man who wants what is in your wallet or is going to use that one photo to get you to do far worse. Then leak it anyway. People asking to see you down there or up there is nothing but a red flag. Don't take the bait.
3
u/hungLink42069 14h ago
In this case, it seems like the image was sent to a young woman without consent.
