Therapists talk to you, psychiatrists prescribe you medication to balance chemicals in your body

A psychiatrist is a medic that chose to specialize in psychiatry, a therapist studied psychology or some other therapy careers that are NOT medicine. The first one can prescribe drugs, the second one can't.

Moron and Fool will be the next slurs...

and if that happens, we will be using other words to insult someone. language evolves, normal people change. assholes dont, because they fit the requirement of "not being able to introspect and grow as people"

There are hundreds of thousands of words in the English language, and almost all do not demean people with disabilities.
If you can't find other ways to insult someone I suggest you look up Shakespearean insults. You might even sound cultured instead of like a grade school child told he can't have a toy.

Mostly don't demean insufferable pomposity either so your pedantry can stand unopposed.

Ooooh, it's my favorite Reddit Trope: The jerk who thinks they can defend their jerkiness by sounding like they swallowed a dictionary!
Unless you think you sound like Shakespeare, which would be even more amusing.

Have you considered therapy?

u/INeedANappel 1d ago
I'm in therapy, for many reasons, one of which is understanding that people sometimes need help and that maturity is finding or asking for help, instead of childishly attacking people for things that are perfectly normal.

Ahh, the 'ol, "I'm in therapy for everyone else!" line from the eternally online troll.
It's not working. I daresay more of your conversation might infect my brain.
And Jerk is a slur against social maladroits.

from the eternally online troll
Says the charming box of rocks who responds to every reply I make.
Keep it up, kiddo, people are starting to find you amusing. Just not in the good way.

Dunning-Kruger Effect. People with poor critical thinking skills just assume that they're good at something. Like people who excitedly write physics journals to explain how their thought experiments based on middle school science classes disprove Special Relativity.
In this case, an idiot thinks that big words make them a linguist and/or etymologist.

Shhhh. Don't tell him I'm a 62 year old woman old enough to be his gramma. He'd poop his tighty-whities if he learned people were siding with an old FEEEEEEmale over him.

Here’s the thing. I’m 43. I grew up with that word. Everything was r or it was gay. After Norm MacDonald died, I went and watched a bunch of his old weekend update stuff and almost every second word was the r word. It was such a good word.
Do you know how hard it was to stop using that word, knowing that people found it offensive and hurtful?
It was the fucking easiest thing to do ever. Like, ever. I have accidentally said it from whatever old muscle memory I still had. I made an effort to remove it from my vocabulary. It’s the least we can do for people. They’re just words. Like the person said. There’s so many more words with combinations. I had a construction manager say “cunting mother cunt” to another human being.
So please, have some compassion for your fellow humans. We have cancelled that word. We’re not bringing it back. It’s offensive. Stop being a twat goblin.

Tamariki and Rangatahi are NZ Māori words for children and young people respectively.
