Trump says stuff. Doesn't care.

"Vote for me and make me richer. Thank you for your attention in this matter."

And then they said "Sir?", with tears in their eyes.

forgot to blame Biden for the apocalypse /s

lol what I don’t get is Americans voted for him and that is why he is the president!! I hope midterms change that

1

u/the_fools_brood 9h ago

Not all Americans. About half. And he lost the first election by popular vote. The fucking electoral college bullshit is what gave him first term. 2nd term, some cheating and a bad candidate from Dems who had 8 weeks to campaign.

u/paolog 8h ago

The midterms won't change the fact that he's the president, but if they go against him, they will hamper his ability to wreak more damage.

Mainly because he doesn't have to care.

At least as far as his tens of millions of cult acolytes are concerned, their god-emperor can manifest reality simply by speaking it into existence. So when he says gas is below $2, then as far as they are concerned it is below $2. It doesn't matter if the sign at their particular gas station says $5. At best, it's simply that particular station owner being a liberal price gouger in direct cahoots with communist Hillary Obama-Biden's trans laptop, or at worst they simply refuse to concede that it's $5.

These people could lose their homes, their jobs, their health, and they would still force their dying bodies to crawl over broken glass to vote Republican again. As far as they have any coherent picture of the world, it's one where Trump has personally saved them from nuclear annihilation from Iran, the US is raking in trillions of dollars from other countries' tariff payments, and the US is now the most respected nation in the world, not least because after 250 years of misery, the White House is finally getting a ballroom.

Half of Republican voters say that Trump being a pedophile doesn't change their vote. If you're so far gone that you'd happily hand over your own underage daughter to be raped by a filthy, old man, then suspending disbelief and believing that guy's lies is child's play.

If they didn’t get the $5000 check in the mail, they’d probably say that it must’ve been sent, but someone stole it out of their mailbox, or a sinister democrat somehow stopped it from being delivered.

But, wait! There's more!

It's something the UK is grappling with as well; there is no repurcussion to saying whatever you like on an election campaign just for it to completely turn to smoke. So you end up with parties going about offering unicorns and bags of money, they get elected, and the accepted response is to the effect of "well a manifesto isn't a binding document". I personally think if it can be demonstrated that manifesto promises were vindictively reneged on then the whole party becomes ineligible for re-election

u/lothar525 1d ago

He probably doesn’t even remember half of the things he said a week ago, let alone while he was campaigning.

3

u/R9D11 1d ago

He doesn't care or doesn't remember. It's probably both.

2

u/HazyChemist 19h ago

Just assume the opposite of what he says is true and you'll be right 99.9% of the time.

As a wise footlocker of trump once said. When trump says words, you shouldn't focus on the words. He's about actions but it's not about what he does.

He might be saying these dirty black people come from shithole countries, but what I hear is that we need a set of strong socio-economical policies to improve the lives of African Americans.

When he says I grab them by the pussy, what I hear is that we as a country need to implement a set of laws that allows those in power to rape women and children but be shielded and then serve in government.

When we say serve, what I mean is to take everything and anything for themselves and their family.

Any epstein files?

You can always tell when Trump is telling a lie because his lips are moving.

11

u/IWontCommentAtAll 1d ago

I'm not even entirely sure he needs moving lips to lie.

3

u/polymath-nc 22h ago

Natalie takes care of that for him.

2

u/fartdarling 1d ago

That used to be true but no longer is. Nowadays sometimes he's just snoring as he sleeps through important meetings

23

u/itkovian 1d ago

He did deliver. The opposite.

17

u/tbizzone 1d ago

He also promised to reduce our energy costs and electricity bills by 50% by the end of his first year in office. They’ve only gone up.

10

u/zarfle2 1d ago

Well he did deliver on "We will deport non-white people".

/s

1

u/pchlster 21h ago

Deportation is sending people back to their home country, not a country of one's choosing.

10

u/Brandoe 1d ago

Gas prices still come down immediately after the mid-terms. Is he saying he can drop gas prices whenever he wants? And that he's not, for political gain? WTF?

16

u/Late-Presentation908 1d ago

I can explain all these. 1. Joe Biden 2. Joe Biden 3. Joe Biden 4. Joe Biden

8

u/Hot-Philosophy-7671 1d ago

And then Kamala Harris says, "he's lying, he's lying, he's lying, he's lying."

And the fact check websites called Harris a liar. Fox made fun of her laugh.

And half of voters believed Trump instead.

3

u/M_e_n_n_o 1d ago

He wasn’t talking to his voters but to his donors and his boss in russia.

3

u/brianishere2 1d ago

Energy prices cut in half. They’re at or near record highs.

4

u/LPG24 1d ago

Reality is his base doesn’t care, they rather hurt themselves because of the hate they have against the other side. For them to change is to admit that they were wrong, and they never will. It’s cult behaviour, and it’s very strong. People have done much more extreme things in cults. So, I think this is just the beginning. There is an opportunity to stop, and I hope dems take it.

2

u/pchlster 1d ago

MAGA tried to use GREATIFY but it hurt itself in its confusion.

2

u/bjgrem01 1d ago

They don't actually believe in anything. They know he's lying. This is all just another team sport to them. That's their team and they cheer even if they're down by 21 in the 4th quarter.

2

u/Important-Anywhere20 23h ago

Yeah those promises aren’t aging well.

1

u/Reason_Choice 1d ago

Here’s the issue: you don’t need to tell us he’s full of shit. We already know. You need to be telling him. Letting him lie then running to a keyboard well after the fact is fucking laughable.

1

u/Away_Stock_2012 1d ago

trump: those weren't promises

2

u/DigiSmackd 19h ago

Yeah, that was my thought too.

"If I didn't say 'I Promise', then it's not a promise!"

Pointless either way, because any Magat I know would just hand wave it away with "well, all politicians lie! At least he's..." blah blah blah whatever

1

u/Ember-Blackmoore 21h ago

Tbf, the name of Israel has been plastered everywhere.

You've definitely heard about the foreign country that your children are dying for.

1

u/CatCafffffe 19h ago

His supporters: He done did everthang he promised! He SAID so!

1

u/Thirsty4Knowledge911 18h ago

How did you decide on these?
He’s been documented lying over 30,000 times.

1

u/Evie_Sofia 18h ago

In his defense... The war is definitely not never-ending. He is getting his as kicked worse than Russia in Ukraine. So techniiiiiiiicaaaallyyyy...

1

u/EtchAGetch 13h ago

It's not that he said these things. It's not that he failed to do any of them. It's not that people believed him.

It's that people believed that he had the answers and no one else in the fucking world had the answers. That he was somehow smarter than every other person in America, and he could figure things out that no one else could. That's what gets me. That people not just believed him, but people believed that he was the savior to every problem we ever had as a country. Donald Fucking Trump.

End crime in Chicago in one day!

1

u/Opinion-Former 11h ago

He did deliver. Everything he said was going to happen has happened. It’s just that it’s in an alternate universe and that’s you can’t see it… the original Trump was abducted by aliens, but they couldn’t stand him so they tried to mutate him into something useful, failed and sent him back. At least thats what Q said.

1

u/krusecontrol91 10h ago
  1. Ah ha! But you HAVE heard of Iran so I wasn’t lying!
  2. Ah ha! I settled the war by passing out some Tums with your tax money. We settled some stomachs anyway so I’m not lying!
  3. I brought prices down on bribing me. I didn’t specifically say what prices I would promise to bring down just prices so I wasn’t lying!
  4. We will end inflation. Yes, remember that scary clown time like 10 years ago where there were just a bunch of clowns wandering around and on the news? Have you seen that since?

Clowns carry balloons! Balloons need inflation.

  5. SEE!? No lies here!!!!!1!1!1!

Plus energy & grocery prices specifically halved,
Plus paying down debt, plus tariffs (implied STABLE tariffs, that are only paid by exporting country!) plus higher wages, plus higher earnings, plus being respected, plus restoring the country, plus Golden Age, improving tech, education, IP, dominance, exports, trade deficits, fixing the border, deporting millions, restoring Christianity, and solving government bureaucracy.
