Just as a semi-off topic sidenote; is it just my impression as a Non-American or has JD almost entirely disappeared from the public? In the first year he was basically everpresent in the public and I don't think I have seen anything from him in months. Have Republicans simply realized that he is too unlikeable even for Republicans so they stopped pushing him as the successor?

The reason Trump and JD didnāt go is because they were at some GOP rally, I genuinely donāt know what it was just that it was on the news at work last night, and they were literally chanting āJD 28ā over and over after shuffling Trump off stage and only showing JD. I think I watched the pivot away from Trump in realtime against my will at work. Iām betting youāll see a lot more of JD on the news now, but who knows idk how politicians work.

Vice-Presidents generally don't get a lot of attention in the international press. Also not being American, I barely heard about Kamala Harris, or Joe Biden when he was VP.
I'd say that JD Vance probably gets more attention than the average vice-president. The last VP I recall having a similar-ish high profile would be Dick Cheney.

We usually use a needle and thread. It first goes up under the top lip, p okes through the cartilage between nostrils, back down through the muscle just under the ligament under your bottom lip, the mouth is adjusted so that the teeth are almost touching, then it is tied off. We'll use wax or glue if necessary thereafter.

He's upset of sharing the spotlight with a rescue worker. To Trump, the emphasis should be on the thing that happened to Trump and how it affected Trump, not on anyone else or what anyone else went through. Calling the Rescue Workers heroes upsets Trump because nobody should think about the rescue worker, in the same way that during Trump's assassination attempt nobody thinks about the people that were actually killed during the attempt (Trump's own supporters), or the Secret service men who protected Trump, any of the other people affected by or doing their duty, the emphasis remains on Trump!
By honoring the figherfighters, first responders, and other heroes who helped in 9-11 it takes the spotlight away from Trump, even as you don't know any of those people's names, only Trump.

And with Trump, "not the center of attention" means "not being able to turn it in to a hyper-partisan pissing contest where he blurts out all sorts of random shit about whomever".
That's the real problem here: the man simply cannot be trusted to act dignified in front of a crowd in any situation, even a memorial such as this. Where almost everyone else will bury the hatchet at least for the day, Trump's pathologies do not allow him to do this.

I will implore people to look for the 9/11 footage from, Iām pretty sure it was the Today show, where The Donald called in to chime his opinion, yes, he called into the show just so he can talk about what he thinks about the events that JUST took place, like it was freaking sports commentary and he had a bet. See that's called the start of a pattern of decent behavior. Now if either can do maybe 10 or 20 more things like this in a row and not make it about themselves but about the people they honor and serve we can start to believe they are most concerned about others. People are exactly what they show you they are over time and so far it is going to take a pretty long and convincing streak to make anyone seriously think they want what's best for everyone and not just the personal attention.

Here are the facts: JD Vance did go to Ground Zero in New York alongside former Presidents Biden, Obama, Bush and Clinton. Trump chose the Pentagon Ceremony observance for 9/11 instead because all politicians were prohibited in conducting speeches at Ground Zero. Trump wanted to address the nation so he can absolutely do that at the Pentagon Ceremony.
