The loophole is that he's saying he'll give it to everyone no matter what they voted. Immoral as hell, but that's just politics in this modern day and age.
It is immoral and corrupt, but I don't see how it's illegal. Not after citizens united. Our laws are not that good. And as a whole neither is our morality frankly.

I think it's not saying "I'll give everyone who votes for me $5000" but saying "if you vote for republicans we'll be able to put a policy or program in place that will RESULT in you getting $5000." Still a transparent bribe but technically gets around being illegal

I'm responding to the question "how is that not illegal?" It's a dumb lie, but it's not illegal because promising to give people things is one of the primary functions of politicians.

Criticizing someone for not doing something while also saying that if they do it then they’re illegally buying votes is pigeonholing.

Hold up, when did he promise to eliminate student loan debt? Not saying I don't believe he said it, just must have missed it under the mountain of other bullshit. Republicans torpedoed not only Biden's broad debt forgiveness, but also his low-cost repayment plans. Not only did they not eliminate it, they made it worse for millions of us. My payment now is 5x higher than it was under Biden.
Don’t forget the 5000 if republicans “win” the midterms. Republicans lie about everything, a win for republicans is a loss for America, republicans are anti American.

Where do people think the $1.3 trillion for this would come from? It would be government debt. The government is operating at a deficit- everything is borrowed.
Do you know how much repaying that $1.3billion in debt would cost each and every tax payer? $10,000 each once you figure in the compound interest.
That's right- if he gives you $5k- you're going to have to pay $10k back over time. It's not good math. There's a reason governments typically don't just randomly give people thousands like this. No such thing as free money.
