As a non-American - why do the politicians and news agencies not just call Trump out on these appalling behaviours and all of his other AI images and shame-faced lies?
It should be such an easy win for any Liberal comedians, reporters and news sources. I can’t believe we never see him challenged on the global stage for all he says and does. When he is challenged he resorts to playground insults - again - this should be challenged with a clear and intelligent come back to him.
Not to mention, he has control of the FCC, which just recently took an interview Kimmel had with Talarico off the TV because Talarico is critical of Trump, so there is no guarantee that Democrats will even reach MAGA at all.
In an ideal world, you would be correct. But we are not in that world; we are in a world where a conman and his cronies have managed to get themselves into the very topmost echelons of government.
Like it or not, Sleepy Don has the power to make life difficult for many other world powers; powers that must tread very carefully lest he attempt to do to them what he has done to Iran.
Watch the Daily Show. And Colbert. Oh wait, Colbert isn't on the air anymore.
People mock him incessantly. It doesn't do any good because 1/3 is immune to humor and irony, and 1/3 is completely checked out. The 1/3 that listens, understands the horror of what's going on and laughs, because otherwise they would weep, are already in on the gag
They have been. People have been calling him out on all kinds of stuff since he first started running in 2015. It's just that his base either doesn't care, or more likely, they only ever see news coverage from sources who are heavily right-wing and pro-Trump.
There's basically a pro-Trump media industrial complex at work 24/7 ensuring that if you want you can only ever see coverage that practically makes him out to be the second coming of Christ.
If you live outside the US you probably never see this media, so it must seem inexplicable that anyone actually supports him.
Also consider that he's been so heavily criticized by mainstream media sources for so long now that his base has basically decided to treat everything they say about him as smears and lies and ignore it.
Because our 'news' agencies are now owned by corporate fascist CEOs. They don't give us real information just click bait and propaganda to keep us distracted and paralyzed with fear so we don't fight back.
It's not just fox which was always a problem but CNN and CBS are problems as long with many newspapers. Its all garbage.
