Right...like there's an easy solution to his concern which is entirely within his control
11
u/boardin1 1h ago
Well, yes and no. He could stop breaking the law and not have to worry about the new crimes (and their associated punishments) but we need to stop forgiving the crimes that have been committed. This asshole, and all the others that got us to this place, need to have their day in court.

Yeah. It's too late for this a*, its not like suddenly it absolves him from all the previous sht.
2
u/flyinhighaskmeY 47m ago
lol...I mean...if they lose the opposing party can make up any laws they want. That would, by definition, NOT be within his control.
I can tell from comments like this that America's ruling class (Democrat and Republican voters) have pretty much completed their transition into Nazis. All you need is a politician to unite you and we'll have Holocaust 2.0.

Maybe stop criming? Just a suggestion.

u/ZmanB-Bills 2h ago
Too late. That sorry fck and so many on the right already committed their crimes, crimes against our country, against our Constitution, and against our rights as voters. Time for consequences!!
Bannon was a key architect of J6. Piss on him.
LFG!!

u/FlyFront9395 1h ago
Even if they did lose they’re not gonna pay for their crimes. Biden won after j6 and the only people that got in trouble were the people who went in
9
u/ZmanB-Bills 1h ago
Absolutely true. Biden and Garland were far too slow and not near as aggressive on these crimes as they deserved. By the time Garland got rolling with Jack Smith, Mango Mussolini was playing the "I'm running for President" stay out of jail card. But, Trump's two most serious indictments were dropped "without prejudice" so these charges can, and WILL, be litigated again soon after J20, 2029.

u/14Pleiadians 11m ago
I would bet everything I own that Trump never faces justice. It honestly feels detached from reality to think otherwise

There were indictments, RICO charges (Georgia mugshot), and even the Maralardo raid. It was all too little, too late, but they did try to go for the King. Merrick the Meek should have gone a lot sooner and A LOT harder, because as the saying goes, "if you come at the king, you'd best not miss."

u/AlbatrossNo1562 2h ago
Darn laws, always in my way of criming

It has absolutely nothing to do with that. They want to frame it as democrats being evil and trying to jail republicans for their political views. This is just to rile up the white nationalist population and make them view democrats as the enemy. No one who would voluntarily listen to Bannon sees it any other way and its important that people on the left understand this because its a legitimate threat.
2
u/rbowen2000 42m ago
Well sure. That's true. But also I'm confident that Bannon is very aware that the things he is doing are illegal. He just also knows that he can get away with them just as long as other criminals are in power. Trump, on the other hand, might be enough of a narcissist that he thinks that what he's doing is justified because he is infallible. Hard to say for sure.

I know you're joking, but his point is that they're in too deep and he is correct.
Countless individuals in government have committed blatant crimes, and if the Democrats retake power, they are at risk of prison-time.
Perhaps the Democrats will be too weak-willed to enforce the law, but it's still a massive risk from their perspective.
Bannon's message is simple. He's telling people in government that future accountability is an existential threat to them personally, so they need to ensure accountability never occurs.

u/Skirakzalus 2h ago
I wish I could still believe that. This should have already happened before Trump's second term.

From a Canadian perspective, the American legal system is broken with half explicitly used as a tool of the dictator. The media is complicit and opposition is toothless. The public majority is apathetic and a quasi-religious ignorant minority rabidly supports the dictator regardless of the personal harm they incur from his whims.
7
u/SkivvySkidmarks 2h ago
Couldn't have done that. It would have had the howler monkeys screaming, "WITCH HUNT!" Better to let the USA crash and burn.
2
u/_JustThisOne_ 1h ago
Yeah, Im sorry but not a single one of these people are going to see a jail cell. Its pretty clear the democrats have either not enough will, or not enough political power, to get any accountability whatsoever.
2
u/poxteeth 24m ago
"We go high. Now isn't the time for revenge, it is time for healing." No motherfuckers, it's time for justice. Don't go soft like you did on the Confederacy. Even if they all went to prison, the Dems would keep all the contracts with the companies who propped up the regime and fail to dismantle ICE.

We rightfully prosecuted over 1500 of Trump and Bannon's Insurrection foot soldiers. But, no charges against Bannon, Mike Flynn, Rudy, Roger Stone, Eastman, and Clark who helped orchestrate it all. Remember, Bannon personally called Trump just ahead of his New Years Eve party at Mar-a-lago and told him to get his ass back to DC. "We have some insurrectioning to do".
"Be there, it will be wild".

u/ZmanB-Bills 2h ago
Bannon, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Guiliani, Eastman, and Clark were key architects with Trump and a bunch of GOP members Congress for the J6 storming of our Capitol to overthrow our fair and free 2020 votes! That civilian group of losers were the ones who manned "Insurrection Headquarters" at the Willard Hotel.
Prosecute them and lock them up! All of them.
LFG!!

u/StrangeContest4 1h ago
Let us not forget TP USA's involvement. Charlie Kirk paid for busses for the insurrectionist and TP USA CFO, Tyler Bower, signed on as an "alternative (fraudulent) elector" in Arizona.

Funny that he thinks this ends in prison. They’ve subverted the law for so long the punishment needs to be permanent and non-reversible

Some? All. There will be a political purge endorsed by a vast number of Americans from both parties. This corruption will be rooted out. And the last people in those iced detention cells before we tear down these facilities will be the politicians, the secret police, and the guards themselves.
2
u/LittleMushroomHead 1h ago
Should have been in jail a long, long time ago the whole lot of you corrupt bastards.

2
u/Guy_NCogneeto 1h ago
You know it, I know it, we ALL know it… but it isn’t going to happen. Corruption is in power now and they fight illegally to STAY in power and out of jail. Sad that it has happened to the USA.

deep state feds are all criminals and they want us to support them against immigrants so they can be tough on crime. but in order to be tough on crime they have to break the law, or that is all they know how to do because they are feds.
i hope they look forward to prison
