Even if it isn’t, many institutions post videos like this. It’s the internet lol. The era of information and ease of accessibility is glorious. At least it isn’t a TikTok lmaooo.

If they pulled up a TikTok I am out of there.

But so many patients will tell me that tik tok told them not to take their diabetes medication 😧

Now imagine if their doctor said that TikTok told them to have their patients stop taking their diabetes medication!

Or if they got their doctorate from Tiktok university 📜

My eyes gloss over every time someone says "ayyy checkout this TikTok" or something similar. What's the prognosis? Am I gonna make it?

So thankful of places that post random informational videos, my toddler loves them.

Doctor here. It’s not, lol. But we can tell which YouTube videos are legit, it’s a sixth sense from the years of studying.

Same thing goes for financial advice. I can pretty easily tell the difference between the real advice and the nonsense, but most people seem unable to tell the difference.

I mean in the end this is what your degree is actually about. You gain enough knowledge and skills that you are later able to source that information yourself efficiently and correctly.

As a CS graduate I don't need to memorize how to write a Chaitin algorithm or the exact expression of the pumping lemma, but I can look the up easily compared to a novice.

My hematologist pulled up chatgpt to understand my condition lol. She wasn't hiding it which I honestly appreciated her transparency

ChatGPT? Or OpenEvidence? I wouldn't necessarily trust ChatGPT not to confabulate, but OpenEvidence is more like a very robust version of UpToDate (doctor wikipedia; articles written by experts in the field), searching and summarizing peer-reviewed literature much faster than a human can.

Funnier if it’s a video of themself too
