I repair appliances. Ive watched so many tear down videos. These manufacturers make this shit harder and harder to take apart every new version.

Does opening an appliance void the warranty or do you have to be an authorized repair person?

Nah, just don't tell anyone. If it's obvious you damaged the part you need replaced that's a different thing. As long as you don't damage it and put it back together correctly it's not an issue.

Good to know. I've repaired all of my own stuff over the years since they've always been out of warranty anyway. I was just curious how manufacturers feel about that.
