I also have to imagine that they know enough of the stuff surrounding it that if they watch a video just seeing parts of it done is enough for it all to kind of click. Obviously if we watched we probably couldn't replicate it fully but when you already know a lot of what you're watching just seeing those small missing parts is enough.

Right like sometimes it’s just a matter of “I know how to make a sterile field, I know how to puncture the abdominal wall, but I want to make sure the tube size is correct”

It’s not like they are going in with ZERO knowledge and trying to Jerryrig a drain out of hardware store materials.
