MAGA don't care. It's an exaggeration! Or it's fake! Or it's going to bother minorities more than me! Or whatever else they'll tell themselves while they vote Republican across the ticket and buy noise canceling headphones

You're not going to like this, but it's a bipartisan issue. Remember those? Also, the opposition to them is ... bipartisan:
The starkest departure from the federal position is the growing number of states and localities pursuing data center moratoriums. Maine is likely to become the first state to enact one, pausing new data center construction until November 2027 to allow the legislature time to study community impacts. Several other states and many localities are considering similar measures. Critically, these efforts are not driven by a single political persuasion. From what I know, that sounds like the sound of hard drives. While they do make a lot of noise, most of the complaints are from gas turbines used; those are what cause most of the annoyance. From what I could gather inside, they tend to be around 78db, so theoretically they shouldn't be audible from the outside.
The us should regulate the placement of the buildings into inustial zones so that any noise could be aceptable.

They just meant themselves specifically. The entire MAGA movement can be summarized as "Tread on everyone I don't like".
Unfortunately for poor MAGAs, the movement also has the most extremely wealthy people as their leaders and they don't like anyone who isn't wealthy.

Right?! No IDs, etc. except for people who look "foreign". Guns, but only for certain types of people. Obey LEOs, unless they're guarding the Capitol on January 6th. Communism is bad except Putin and his pals plus the ones in Asia. No foreign wars but we'll, just look at this year, plus the threats against traditional allies.
And so it goes.

The original matrix script called for people becoming data centers for AI. But at the time no one knew what data centers were. So they changed it to people becoming batteries, as it was more digestible for the audience.
Just an interesting anecdote. Nothing follows.
