Not in a while. I don't like going up to the city that often. But that's usually what I see. Every time I've gotten off the train at Heuston, there's like a 50% I see some sort of addict and I'm terrified.

My ma's always told me to be weary about Dublin. I'm 22 and I've still never been to the city by myself for anything, I always have to be with someone. She put the fear of God in me that down every alley there's someone looking to stab me.

If you just peek at Irish subreddits then you will just see people living in one of the safest places on earth, complaining about the crime and "kids these days" even with crime continuing to go down.
In the real world, in irelamd, right here, right now, we are rich fucks, educated fucks, liberal fucks, and drug of choice are high quality cocaine. There is no meth. Heroin quality ove been led to believe I'd also great, and NO fentanyl, like at all. Thankfully that's for the superpowers, the big countries with the poor populace that are slaved and at war. Like USA, Russia and China.
Go cry into your medical debt and reduce your frustration by shooting your many guns into the ceiling (oh wait I forget, carrying a gun is not manly, its the most pathetic, cowardly thing ever. Being reduced to have to carry one for safety is a tragedy, that any educated man would keep quiet because of embarrassment, not be proud of, and is an indictment of the society you live in.
How weird that it's pretty easy to obtain guns here if you want, yet nobody has them, not even the guards.

Regardless of weather, I enjoyed Dublin very much and hope to go back.

It's never been a big thing in Ireland outside of sporting occasions, but it has become even less of a thing since nutjobs here have started taking inspiration from the US and started using their flag as a deceleration of their own bigotry.
So if you see an Irish flag hanging outside someone's house, and there's no major event taking place, it's now seen as a sign of an "Irish patriot".
There are probably more Palestinian flags flying in the country nowadays because nobody wants to risk being associated with those people by flying an Irish one.

Outside sport or St. Patrick's day we don't typically fly our flag at home, protests or other events.
