Yep, a carbon copy of me trying to teach my 3 and 5 year old to downhill ski. I tell them 9 million times on the lift that they have to go slow, remember to brake and turn etc.
But nope.
When I say "ok, you can go now" they just fucking bomb the slope and I have to catch up to basically tackle them to the ground so they don't crash into someone.
I used to coach kids skiing and I know exactly the type. In their defense kids that age haven’t really developed the muscle control to brake and steer well so straight lining is the least effort way to get down the hill. Plus they’re so bendy and low to the ground at that age that crashing is barely a consequence
I put them both on skis and skates before they were two, for their age they do surprisingly well! They just don't listen lol, much more fun going fast. And I don't blame them.
It’s good to get them started young. I also started when I was two. Maybe you could make it into a game. I’m pretty sure my dad would have us play follow the leader and we’d take turns leading. At the very least it got me to make turns whenever he was in front
actual years thinking the two girls with the hose was the official video. When my daughter was little we'd watch it and it was our favorite music video.

trying to watch the vide to see if there is a ladder anywhere but i dont see one. looks like there is a dirt pile on the other side which is at least something.
I had a pom that loved water first time he was near a pool at 10 weeks he jumped in like this and we’re were Flabbergasted. He was a strong swimmer lol
They, or someone anyway, ends up going down to get him him by going back along the trail to where there are rocks. The dog is fine because the water right against the edge is shallow so he can stand and doesnt have to swim while he waits.
