Two Minnesota solar farms planted native grasses and wildflowers beneath their panels. Five years later, flowering plant species had increased sevenfold, native bee numbers more than 20 fold and total insect numbers had tripled, while more bees were also visiting nearby soybean fields.

Poor maintenance people getting stung to death, but we got too many people and not enough bees, so send in the next maintenance guy.

Bees don’t really just randomly attack people in fields lol, that’s basically a non issue.

Wasps however will ruin your life if they can, and they ain’t producing honey either. I can tell you from past roofing and HVAC jobs that wasps are a problem everywhere, solar panels won’t matter.

Wasps are pollinators too, and many species prey on destructive pests. Despite the memes, wasps are incredibly beneficial and necessary for an ecosystem. Just because they don’t make honey doesn’t mean they’re bad. The vast majority of species on earth don’t make honey

I’m not advocating a wasp genocide lol, I’m just saying more bees beeing around won’t increase danger to maintenance staff whatsoever, the danger already exists via wasps while bees present a non-issue.
