To be fair most modern cities have those. I live in 10th of Ramadan City (yes that's its name) and we pretty much have traffic lights all over the city. That's actually one of the main criticisms of government here: they provide newer cities with decent infrastructure while leaving older ones (including most of cairo) rot. Like, right now they're building dubai-styled cities on the north coast (like Al-Alamyn) while Alexandria, a great ancient city, has been rapidly deteriorating in every way for the past fiften years.

yeah, and, i think even if they want it, its just hard because those old cities are definitely not built with modern infrastructure in mind.
its probably easier to demolish the entire city and build it from the ground up, hence why they are just being abandoned15

There is a plus side. It's kind of hard to have a pile up when 1 mph is considered fast. On the other hand, if your ambulance is stuck in traffic, you're screwed.

Must agree.The specific skill challenge level
differences are :• The roads/streets here looks well constructed
• No piles of bricks, concrete chunks, dirt and/or other construction demolition debris dumped randomly in a random lane
• Also, no general piles of household rubbish along edges of the road
• No 2nd or 3rd passengers or whole families on motos or mopeds 🏍️
• Corollary: No 2nd or 3rd passengers on motorcycles carrying 3-4 meter pieces of PVC pipes, rolled up rugs, or wood framing material (held vertically or horizontally)
• No random cows 🐄 🐄 🐄
• Also, no cows eating the rubbish 🐮

I pass by a farm and an apple orchard with no traffic lights or cars otw to the grocery store, and my wife still complains about my driving, I could never.

Traffic law can seem so arbitrary until you see footage of a place that seemingly doesn't enforce traffic law at all and people just go nuts. I think some cities in india are a little like this, too. I can only guess it's already bad enough that hiring traffic cops is near impossible.

I think they are indeed used to this but that’s just depressing to even watch, some cars are moving while others are stationary. Yeah traffic lights are needed here, this cannot be normal.

When i was on holiday with my mom more than 20 years ago we visited the museum in Cairo,along with Giza and several other sites. The guide told us there are no working traffic lights in the whole city . Like zero. It was crazy. Also there was(idk if still is) a part of the city called "Thr city of the dead" where the poorest people built (improvized) houses on graveyards,so it was not uncommon to go into a living room and sit down,rest your legs on a gravestone and watch TV. Also,some german tourists went missing,never to be found,only for police to discover some adult bones with human bit marks on them. Might have wanted to scare us to stay with the group,but it was a wild,memorable day in Cairo and the (now old) museum.

I from Egypt in a narrow street where people are very busy because of the narrowness and this is very common especially in the narrow areas where the population is increasing, especially in a popular area called Ain Shams. Because of your popular tactics, there are many shops, many famous places, Ain Shams, and al-Dakrour boulaa street

I spent a week in Cairo. There were no traffic lights around where I was staying. If you needed to cross the street you just had to time it and hope for the best.
It felt a bit crazy the first couple of days but after that I didn’t even think twice. It’s surprising I never saw an accident while I was there.
