Props to Audrey, rhythm games go hard into the deed end very quickly. Any game that has a performance rating that goes up to SSS has razor thin margins by that point. With a rhythm game that has SSS ratings it is impressive. Doing it cold on your first try makes it more so.
Only recently picked it up and yeah, it's a tough game. I have had my ass handed to me plenty of times, and yet I've watched as I improve bit by bit the more I play. And perhaps more importantly, I don't get salty if I lose or someone else makes a bad play. I just focus on improving and learning from my losses. And if someone gets salty at me, they're muted, I won't hear them rage.
That sounds like the healthy thing to do. I never got into League of Legends personally; mmorpgs, mobas, or any game where the majority of the experience is required to be online. I like not having to worry about still being able to play a game I am invested in if there are connection issues, declining playerbases, or server shut downs. League has apparently gotten a lot better with the toxic players and it has a high skill ceiling. By all accounts it is a good choice for getting to a chance to really challenge yourself.
I love it when I find a new game that has offline multi-player; it getting rarer and rarer these days. Online play is the icing on the cake for me. The Dark Souls games have a decent solution with dedicated PvP communities, helping other players, but still not locking you out of anything you can't (sloooooowly) get by yourself offline.
I don't think it was his first time at the game, he just outright ignored the dude and straight up went to the max setting because he was probably already familiar with the game, or at least very familiar with the genre
I really gotta say, every character has so much, character, there is such a feeling how much they are as people than characters. It feels like the lab I work at; Mr super divorced but also super dad, guy who got a promotion 10 years early because everyone else retired and has been holding on, hyper genius ace girl, biker chick who has her PhD in nanomachinary and makes board games, and guy who invented stuff with modern vacuum tubes, and so on
I've only watched the first season about 6 years ago. I didn't continue because I was watching it on YouTube and the second season was deleted from there for copyright reasons. At the time I didn't k ow there were dedicated websites (official and not) for watching anime. Now if would really want to watch it, I'd probably download it and save on my hard drive. I remember I liked it
I'm excited to see how Val will do, given how she wears baggy casual grey clothes to both in an attempt to avoid harassment from men and to also hide her body, because she believes that she is ugly.
Well, she's got Audrey to cheer her up, I mean... Audrey already got Val to buy something she normally doesn't wear and Val also said she felt good wearing those clothes.
Now I low-key feel bad since I only thought how Audrey will handle it but I didn't thought about how Val will feel and how much more difficult it would be for her :/

Audrey is a pretty good wingman, I'm sure, he'll be able to encourage Val to wear something without being pushy about it! I'd consider it a win if Val gets enough courage to wear a casual beach outfit, no swimming attire.

This is my favorite thing shen has done. It's cute. The art has been evolving over the years showing real effort. Same with the writing, which was not exactly experienced in that it seemed immature, as in you had room to grow.
Big improvements all around, which I love to see in any artist. Great stuff.

What is the accepted term for someone like Audrey? Used to be transvestite, but that's out of date. Femboy is crass unless the person self identifies as one? Cross-dresser?
Also, men who dress in women's clothes are no longer part of the trans community, I learned recently.
If you wanted to label Audrey presentatiom then gender nonconforming would be the one that appears most likely to apply. Cross dresser is also potentially an option, but that kind of implies intent that hasn't been expressed in the comic so far (it's just his "style" is what he's said so far).
It woukd be nice if our culture reached the point where men wearing "women's" clothing were just called men, but we aren't there yet. Men like Audrey may not be trans in a medical sense, but transphobes won't care.
Yes, but to pretend that this is true in general is to ignore the very real danger that gender non conforming men face. The fact that they identify as men is irrelevant to transphobes.
For good or for ill, it's a normal thing for people to categorise things. If I had to guess, it makes it easier for the mind to quickly recognise and identify things.
