4th grade, we were brought into an assembly, principal told us what happened. I didn't really understand what it all meant. My dad kept us home the next day, and I started catching bits of the news.
It's so hard to put into words how everything changed after that day.
I was also in 4th grade. Our teacher sat us down into circle time and did her best to explain what we would see on the news when we got home. I didn't really get it until I saw it myself though.
