Honestly I feel like that’s just the gaming industry in a nutshell

It’s the AAA gaming industry, save for a few studios.

Indie and independent games are getting better and better.

It's a misconception about indie, in indie game development there are literally 99 games that flop and die for 1 that succeeds, and you don't even hear about those that died having 100 players peak on release day.

And for every 1 AAA microtraction store front game that releases there are 10 fantastic indie games.

And for every 10 fantastic indie titles less than one succeeds.

So stop buying that AAA game and use that money to buy the 10 indie games.

just because it's indie doesn't automatically make it good.

Did you not read the post I replied to or you just here to post a quip that makes you think you look smart and act like you're contributing to this conversation?

the post I replied to has this line.

fantastic indie titles

Let me copy paste the meaning of Fantastic for you.

I.E. Fantastic most commonly means extremely good, marvelous

Main Meanings

  • Wonderful or Excellent: Something very high in quality or deeply enjoyable (for example, a fantastic meal or a fantastic vacation)

Edit: ahh yes, y'all feelings got hurt to see the actual truth.

Most indie games are not worth playing.

If that were an actual solution it would have already happened. The fact of the matter is that too many indie games release to keep track of them all. None of us have enough time.
