Crows normally won't help any other creature unless it has probable caws..

More like crow bullies hedgehog across the street.

We have an old dog at work, which we feed regularly. A flock of crows has settled down near us too. Almost every day, the crows carry out a tactical operation to steal pieces of food from him. While the dog is eating, one of the crows comes up from behind and hits him on the ass with its beak; the dog turns, and the other crow grabs his food. I have watched this many times. If you chase them away, they remember you, and then they throw dry branches at you. Crows are the mafia of the bird world.

We always do; they just love to mess with the dog.

Crow associating roadkill with free food and hedgehogs are unfortunately often the victims of getting run over. That crow is just impatient and wanted to eat the hedgehog now

Either that hedgehog is covered in ticks or it's about to get the life pecked out of it, possibly both

Crows are unbelievably smart. It wouldn’t surprise me if something is really going on here, like the crow getting the dumb hedgehog off the road to stop it getting squashed, because the crow knows the hedgehog and likes to mess with it. Anything is possible with corvids.

That’s a magpie

u/SpecialistBench1743 1h ago

Wrong. Its a hooded crow

“Crow doing exploratory pecks to see if it can devour the hedgehog live”

u/genetichazzard 1h ago

People making up shit titles. That magpie is trying to eat that hedgehog. They eat roadkill. It's looking for a weak entry point.

This crow wasn’t like his friends. He wanted to help his fellow animals if they needed it. So one day…

Crow: "Agh this guy stopped his car. Come let him go and we'll wait for the next car to help me eat you."
