No he wasn't. That doesn't make sense following the context of this conversation.
People were talking about a user submitting the picture of a menu and the menu's prices. The person I replied to was saying the user should also submit the date of those prices, which never happens as the date is provided by the software when the user uploaded the picture. The user rarely says when the photo was taken because its assumed that the photo was taken very close to when the picture of the menu was submitted.
In my experience lately, if the menu image is over 6 months old, most likely everything is more expensive. 5 years old is potentially whole different menu lmao
I went to a nice little restaurant and waffle place in Tokyo one time. The prices were more than twice as high as uploads of the menu suggested, only a couple years old as well. Still cheap since it's Japan, but compared to other places, it certainly seemed they had jacked up the prices way beyond what a Japanese person would expect.
