Possibly. God is Great would be transcribed in Latin letters as "Allahu akbar. This says "Allah wa kabir" (God and big). The second part is less clear. "Hate the shameful" would be "Ikrah almushyn." His says "Ana akrahu ash-shánana" (I hate the shánana). The imperative and first person singular present tense form of the verb "hate" are somewhat morphologically similar looking in Arabic letters to a novice, but it is a pronoun- drop language like Spanish and yet they literally wrote "I" (Ana) before "hate". Not clear where Google got "shánana"

The number of arabic tattoos I've seen that obviously went through Google (mis)Translate is horrifying. I'd like to say it has improved over the years, but for languages like Chinese and Arabic with very different grammar and morphology from European languages, it has remained terrible.

The old lady that made the mess with the painting was so sweet nobody could get mad at her, too much like all our grandmas, she passed a few years ago at 94 .
With donations from visitors to see the painting they funded the local old people's home and helped people with disabilities, including the son of Cecilia, the old lady. Also helped the economy of the rural area of Borja with many people spending in local business.

As a painter I'll defend her forever. You do things in layers for this medium. It takes time. She has other restored works you can find online in finished states that are beautiful.
She did come to peace with it all since it put her town on the map and brought tourism and prosperity.

People like to live in some sort of false reality believing that only extremists dislike America. My wife worked with a doctor a few years ago and he told her that he was working in Egypt on 9/11. He was in surgery with a team of people and someone came in telling them about the attack and they all cheered. They stopped after a bit remembering that that one of the doctors in the room was a Canadian.
Now I don’t know if this is 100% true. This isn’t a story of someone 5 people removed from the event this was the guy who experienced it. But perhaps he just doesn’t like Arabs/Muslims. But I imagine that what it’s like in Israel. A lot of them wouldn’t bulldoze someone in Gaza’s house themselves but they’d gladly move in once the land has been cleared.
