As someone that spent a year not far from Gardez, I was very taken with the gorgeous mountains, I would've loved to camp and hike them. Too bad they are so full of explosives from 50 years of war.

I don't think I can ever see the appeal of desert landscape. The barrenness of everything just feel depressing and lonely.

#6 🤯 incredible landscape, it's sad Afghanistan is mostly associated with war and the negation of human rights.
