A neighbor runs this fan 24×7 with the door opened as seen in an attempt up cool their garage. Outdoor temps peeking at 105f ranging down to 80 at night. Question: Are they raising or lowering the temperature of the space within? My intuition is they're making it worse in the day and possibly better in the evening but I have no idea how to calculate this.

I was watching a video about the potential collapse of the AMOC. Previously I was thinking about what happens with the brine left over from desalination. Desalination plants produce a heap of super salty brine which needs to be disposed of, and it's usually just disposed of in the sea it came from. But I was wondering, what if instead of dumping it back to out to sea, they transported the brine to Greenland and disposed of it there? Would transporting all the brine from all the desalination plants have any impact on the salinity of the water if 'dumped' where glaciers meet the sea.

I have a cat; she has a voracious appetite. I've started mixing dry food into her wet food to: 1) decrease her wet food intake (her food is damn expensive) and 2) increase her intake of dry food. This way, I can spend less money on her wet food and improve her satiety with dry food.

So, I feed her 6 small meals a day. ¼ of a can in each feeding, which is the recommended amount for her weight. The recommended amount of dry food for her weight is 44g. To prevent my cat from gaining weight, I was thinking of cutting the wet food & dry food servings by half while still keeping her 6 meal routine.

However, I need to ease my cat into this transition by slowly introducing the dry food while decreasing wet food. How many grams of dry food should I provide in each meal until I reach 22g? & If you have cat knowledge, how long should this transition take?

I'm not sure if this is something that can actually be calculated or not. It's said that a deck of cards has so many possible combinations that no two shuffled decks of cards have ever shared the same sequence. Despite that, is it not technically still possible for it to happen even if the chance is infitesmally small? Let's assume we have a shuffling machine that is able to shuffle a deck of cards at a set speed indefinitely. Would it be possible to calculate, on average, how long and how many shuffles it would take for a deck of cards to be shuffled back into order?
