Self-Promo Looking for feedback for our serialised graphic novel 'Atlantica'
Title: Atlantica (2998)
Genre: Sci-fi / dystopian / crime / military
In June we launched the first chapter of Atlantica: Welcome 'Home' and we've just launched the first half of chapter 2 last week. We're looking for feedback regarding world-building, narrative pace and just overall thoughts. This is my first project that I've created and written while our artist Pytr has been doing his magic for a number of years. Both chapters are free to read on GlobalComix, including chapter one which is 50+ pages long including appendices.
Atlantica takes place in the dying years of our millennium, after two decades of wars have torn across the globe including: the third great war and a disconnected war between the nations of North America, humanity and our planet are staring down the evolutionary barrel of the gun. Humanity looks set to begin to leave our planet behind for good, though it is becoming all the more evident that not everyone will be so fortunate to do so. Oisin is a veteran of the third world war, and despite his seemingly hopeless situation an opportunity has presented itself that seems too good to be true.
The city state of Atlantica is the jewel of the UCSA, the first of the mega-city metropolises to be built after the worst ecological disaster in human history swept across the Atlantic, built upon the sunken ruins of: New York, Boston (and Massachusetts), Newark and Philadelphia. It is a city where one just doesn't climb or fall down the ladder but the floors themselves. The highrisers enjoy a steady, fattening life of fresh air and the finest organic foods, while the dregs who lay below have an everyday question of survival... If thats what they even consider it, many just making 'good' of whatever time they have left.
You can read Chapter 1 (and 2) on GlobalComix here!
Welcome to Atlantica, the Atlantis of the new millennium. Welcome home resident.

Recommendations Got any interesting hetero romance canvas or originals
Img source: Other Half (Note this is a monthly so takes a long time to progress.)
Romance could be a side plot or the main focus.
Also I like supernatural and Fantasy but can also be grounded. Can be slice of life or can have a serious plot. Preferably a mix.

Recommendations Seeking: Other MLs like Caine from Second Male Lead Syndrome?
I like how Caine's character blends playful with actual scheming but in an endearing way. Too playful risks usually making the character silly/clueless, and too scheming risks making him unappealing/me being disgusted by him but for some reason even though he played the FL, I like him.
Any MLs like him? I wouldn't say he's "flirty" in the way that he doesn't flirt with everyone nor with FL all that often but he's got a playful vibe with just the right amount of edge. Also preferably paired with an FL that can bounce off his energy.
Usually I indeed do see this type more only in second male lead, like the secret information merchant in rofan/OI, but I want him to be the ML/endgame.

Discussion Why aren't more people talking about this series? [I'm Dating a Psychopath] Spoiler
galleryI finally caught up to season 2.
This series is sooo good, I'm surprised it's not mentioned more often. It's now become one of my favorites. I really love how unpredictable it is and all the twists and turns in it.
I highly recommend this series.
And how does this guy keeps getting hotter the more he shows up on screen?
I really love his character. I like a **genius, narcissistic, Antagonists who is very good At manipulating any situation to his will**. He's one of the **best obsessed guy** I've seen. I'm not sure if he can be called a yandere though, so I wanted to ask here. **Is he a yandere**?
I can't wait to read season 3. Any idea when it'll come out?

Question Any webtoons about a group of friends just having a great time?
I recently read Seasons of Lovesome (sequel to seasons of blossom) and I honestly loved it so much!
I love how the characters just hang out at the cafe/art studio and love reading the banter and bickering between them
I was wondering if there are anymore webtoons which are just about a bunch of friends having a great time while bickering and stuff and maybe with romance as a sub-plot instead of it being like the main thing

Discussion What's your thoughts on webtoon "It's Mine"
Yesterday I finished reading "It's Mine", and honestly, I have mixed feelings about it.
I found the beginning really interesting. At first, I thought it was going to be a fairly typical romance story where the MC, Yohan Do, is obsessively watching/protecting the FMC, Dajeong Lee. But the mystery and tension around it made it much more interesting than a normal romance.
I was especially curious about who'hurting dajeong, why her, why mc is protecting/obsessed with her, and why he was held captive for 10yrs.
Then Yohan's brother was introduced, and that's where I became even more invested. His goals were completely different from Yohan's. Yohan was trying to protect Dajeong, while his brother had his own agenda involving her.
At that point, I thought the story was setting up some kind of psychological battle between the two brothers, with Dajeong caught in the middle. I was expecting the mystery surrounding Dajeong, Yohan's past, his brother, and the people investigating everything to gradually come together.
I also really liked the introduction of the detective investigating and Dajeong's aunt, because it made the story feel bigger than just Yohan and Dajeong. There were also several characters from Dajeong's school who seemed like they could become important to the overall mystery.
And then we got the major revelations about Yohan and his brother being brothers, their father being the mastermind, their childhood/past, and the experiments.
Honestly, I liked a lot of those reveals. The backstory itself was interesting, and I thought it had the potential to lead to something really great.
But this is where I started feeling disappointed.
After the major revelations, it felt like a lot of the characters and storylines that had been introduced earlier simply stopped mattering.
For example, there were characters at Dajeong's school who seemed like they were going to have some importance to the story—such as the guy who had lost his girlfriend, and the guy who was initially targeted by Yohan's brother as part of his plans. But eventually, those characters and their storylines more or less disappeared.
The same thing happened with the detective and Dajeong's aunt. They seemed like they were going to play a bigger role in uncovering the truth, but their involvement didn't end up being as significant as I expected.
Even the main villain, Yohan's father, along with his various partners/associates, ended up being dealt with surprisingly quickly considering how much buildup there was around them.
And then there's the experiment, which felt like one of the central mysteries of the entire story. I was expecting it to have a much bigger impact on the plot and characters, but eventually it felt like it was mainly there to explain Yohan's and his brother's past before being resolved and left behind.
That's probably my biggest problem with the second half: the story kept introducing interesting characters, mysteries, and conflicts, but once the main backstory was revealed, many of those things stopped having much relevance.
By the end, everything basically comes back to Yohan and Dajeong being together, which is fine, but it felt too simple compared to what the story had initially promised.
I don't dislike It's Mine. In fact, that's probably why I'm criticizing it so much. I genuinely loved the potential of the story in the beginning.
I was expecting a psychological thriller/mystery where Yohan and his brother would have this long, complicated conflict, while Dajeong's past, the detective's investigation, the experiment, and the other characters would all gradually connect.
Instead, after the big family revelations, it felt like the story became much more straightforward and a lot of the earlier characters and plot threads were left behind.
So while I think It’s Mine is a good story with some really interesting ideas and reveals, I personally couldn't shake the feeling that it was incomplete or that it didn't fully explore the potential it established in its first half.
Maybe I'm expecting too much, but did anyone else feel the same way or I was doomscrolling🫠

Discussion is it really just me?
so, i just started reading on webtoon again and its changed alot. but anyway, i asked a friend of mine for some recommendations because im tired of seeing all the manwwas (no hate but there everywhere) i wanted something new and unique in a way.and they FREAKING gave me a webcomic called carnelians amulet to read. and now im obsessed with it. like every other media i take in that sparks my interest. and it sucks because i have no one to talk about it with! like the last chapter that came out LITERLLY got me shocked in a goooood way rahh! idk i like it because the main villain shown above is hot. but also it deals with karra and her dad recovering from trauma together and idk i can go on for hours about the deeper meaning. also i have never heard of a father/daughter superhero duo, that wass new RAHH!
has anyone felt this way before with other webcomics?
has anyone read carneilains amulet (probly not *cries)

Help Find Title/Source Need help finding a OI where the FL revives an information guild.
This is all I can remember, or I can't place with OI has this in it.
From what i remember the FL goes to town and at the end goes to a small shoe and embroidery store. Where she meets a woman, then the FL reveals she knows about the old info guild and it's traitors and helps the woman revive it and take it over.
I can't for the life of me remember which OI has this in it. It isn't the main focus.
I believe i must have read it on Webtoon, or Tapas. Since I read it recently and haven't used anything else. (However it isn't in the Tapas recent tab.)
And I'd love it if you could also provide the chapter number.
Thank you very much!

A girl who is cursed by a fallen star, a boy trying to escape his future, and a nun with a grudge against what she's supposed to revere.
