Is nobody going to point out that this is obvious AI? Batfishes do not have large dorsal fins, let alone two of them. They can slowly “walk” along the seafloor, but they’re perfectly capable swimmers that would simply transition to swimming before basically running like in the OP clip. These things are fake monstrosities with shark/ray fins which is why they look and move so weird.

If you search the watermarked name up on YouTube/instagram both accounts are just deep-sea AI slop farms full of silly stuff like this.

Thank u for the info but some people like to believe that there are underwater street hooker fish just walking around down there... who could blame em?

I mean they do look a lot like the fish in the video, with bizarre red lips and they walk along the bottom of the ocean

Wait, but the link he has to the real ones also look like street hooker fish walking along the bottom

I already thought it was AI, so I started checking for the obvious comment. Turns out the real ones are even fucking more insane then the AI ones.

I was about to say it, but before that I was gonna make sure if someone else noticed (which is the case).

Thank you! I'm shaking my head at myself because I've seen real batfish footage before and still forgot and didn't realize until your comment that this was AI. It didn't look quite right but i hadn't made the mental jump to AI yet.

Think about the damage all the AI slop is going to cause in a few years when the Internet is so full of it that no one will be able to tell what is genuine or not.

you just sort of have to do what we should be doing with any information on social media and check your sources. Now instead of just text and posts, its also photos and videos

Maybe the worst part will be they don't even care.

This isnt any better...

These make MUCH more sense for the name "batfish" than the ones in the video. Thanks for the links to the real ones.

Ugh. I've been catfished by the batfish!

Reddit is 90% bota at this point. All the drama stories are bots. All the political commentary are bots trying to destabilize other countries

Is nobody going to point out that this is obvious Al?

Skimming through the comments, apparently not, no. They are going to upvote this post to the moon and make the same tired joke a couple hundred times before going off to complain about AI slop in some other thread.

Look very much like the real fish, though. You sure?

u/Aveysaur 15m ago

I am relieved there aren't walking fish with human faces down there

u/cosmoscrazy 10m ago

Yup, it's AI. The channel says so in the video description:

Like I knew batfish existed, and fish with legs, but not like that. They don't walk like people 🙄
