That’s not a rebate plan. That’s fantasy accounting.

Y’all already stole money from us (tariffs) and gave it to corporations. You’re not creating wealth, you’re making the rich even richer AS ALWAYS. Thanks republicans.

152

u/V0lirus 1d ago

Because the Us they are talking about are them and their rich cronies/allies/sycophants. Not Us as all citizens, Us as in the top 1%.

u/eighty4prcnt 1d ago

...wealth we're creating, for ourselves. He just left out the last two words

21

u/mrslother 1d ago

Exactly. They are just transferring wealth.

22

u/Old_Cheetah_5138 1d ago

He said as much. They're making all this incredible wealth (true) and if you keep them in power, they'll share a tiny-tiny piece of their wealth with you (not true).

The national debt is growing faster than the economy but they're making incredible wealth? Where was the wealth over these last 2 years? From all angles, how does this make any sense other than an admission of scamming us all while trying to run another scam.

11

u/eatingganesha 1d ago

exactly.

“I love the poorly educated” has been ringing in my head since 2015.

5

u/BrightPerspective 1d ago

A third of the US economy is just tech companies passing debt back and forth. Another big chunk is just national debt repayment, and the rest is split between manufacturing, trade, and profit generated from internal debt such as mortgages and loans.

This means that a big part, perhaps even most, of US GDP is illusory.

19

u/KillerHack23 1d ago

Can't afford health care for all but can drop 1.3 trillion dollars for votes

7

u/Lvcivs2311 1d ago

Even if they are using the revenue from the tariffs to give to the American people (which sounds to me like bribery anyway, if only because of the way they phrase it) it would still be "cigar from your own box".

4

u/usernotfoundplstry 1d ago

And there are MANY MANY who are beyond help

6

u/Jarnohams 1d ago

Most of the hundreds of billions in tariff refunds (they were forced to pay back), went to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's hedge fund.

It's just more insider trading

3

u/Firm-Advertising5396 1d ago

Most of them are in fact, beyond help

u/Harrigan_Raen 1d ago

IF we have a surplus, why is the deficit going up?

93

u/MyNameIsRay 1d ago

The answer is actually really simple: We're in the post-truth era. If Trump says it's so, it is.

There is no deficit, there is no national debt, and we've always been at war with Eastasia.

22

u/hogester79 1d ago

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

George Orwell - 1984.

8

u/schwartztacular 1d ago

So the widow of the airman who was killed in Eastasia is entitled to benefits, right?

14

u/MyNameIsRay 1d ago

Don't be silly, we've never been to war with Eastasia.

5

u/Telekinendo 1d ago

In fact, if you paid attention, he ended the war many times already!

Wait weren’t will supposed get a 2g rebate check for all the money Doge saved? Still waiting on those…….

61

u/GdoubleWB 1d ago

They’re in the mail with your tariff checks.

37

u/El_Cactus_Loco 1d ago

and your midterm mail-in ballots

23

u/GdoubleWB 1d ago

And the publicly-available copies of the Epstein files.

5

u/AndrewTheAverage 1d ago

Except Biden stolen then from you. He collected the millions of checks from your mail boxes, opened them, and deposited them in his account using Hunters laptop!

13

u/Arejhey311 1d ago

It was $5k for Doge & $2k for tariff rebates. People still believing they’ll actually get anything is crazy

5

u/Kind-Meeting2573 1d ago

Yea I looked it back up after posting….THATS the crazy part that a very large population of people still believe these lies….it really is a very large cult

3

u/Arejhey311 1d ago

They really believe the guy well known for never paying anyone his whole life is definitely going to pay them

2

u/Old_Cheetah_5138 1d ago

Fool me once...

Third time's the charm! This one is definitely coming true.

10

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 1d ago

It's 2 weeks away.

3

u/DarkBladeMadriker 1d ago

We were also already supposed to get tarriff checks for all the crazy money being pumped into the U.S. by other countries, you know, cause thats at all how tariffs work.

5

u/Impaler2009 1d ago

They’re right there with the health care plan. Just two weeks away……….

3

u/IncreaseFuzzy216 1d ago

Yeah, seems like those promises are often just smoke and mirrors. It can be pretty annoying to wait for something that never arrives.

3

u/Kind-Meeting2573 1d ago

Politics have always been smoke and mirrors but they always delivered just enough to keep things okay….now we just blatant corruption and out-rite lies that 30 some million people still believe

2

u/DrunkenDude123 1d ago

No didn’t you read the quote? The president is saying if you keep them in power then we will share in SOME of the benefit of this “incredible wealth” they are creating. That means if it ever existed then it was never originally meant to be shared with us in the first place!

→ More replies (1)

89

u/carlnepa 1d ago

And in the midst of this "incredible wealth" the nation swiftly approaches $41,000,000,000,000 in debt. Something just ain't right here.

31

u/Darth_Pinda 1d ago

And 1/3 of that made by the tangerine toddler. Why he still isn't impeached yet... I keep wondering.

32

u/DarkBladeMadriker 1d ago

Because the people who could impeach him are too busy making shitloads of money because of him.

12

u/ManyThing2187 1d ago

He was impeached twice already. Whole lot of good that did us.

5

u/carlnepa 1d ago

3rd time's the charm, right???

if the tariffs make so much money, why not pay down the record level of debt you just reached

27

u/ViciousFlowers 1d ago

Also if they are rolling in so much money, why can’t they send the checks before the midterms? 🤔

11

u/ManyThing2187 1d ago

Yea I take my payments up front

39

27

u/iamthinksnow 1d ago

...and went to the government, then back to the companies as bonus profits.

16

u/antiramie 1d ago

If you vote for us you might get this stolen money back.

Hint: You won't.

These people are fucking traitors and should be facing appropriate punishment, but alas tens of millions of citizens are pieces of shit like them.

Just give trickle down economics another 70 years people. Jeez have some patience!

9

u/Gogglesed 1d ago

-70 years later-

Major economic reform results in universal basic income and wealth equality.

Republicans: See? We told you it would trickle down! We were right all along!

20

u/minormisgnomer 1d ago

Is the “incredible wealth” in the room with us now?

14

u/j4v4r10 1d ago

Because we've TOTALLY been sharing in that wealth for the LAST 2 years.

16

u/HuntertheGoose 1d ago

Not from USA, but haven't they pulled this move several times before and then just... don't pay you guys?

11

u/jf727 1d ago

Yes. Yes, they have.

12

u/SandSpecialist2523 1d ago

Did Brett mentioned the 40 Trillion deficit at any point?

13

u/NikkolaiV 1d ago

Fella, I'm not that stupid. It fucking HURTS to see how many people around me are, though...

12

u/Srbsab 1d ago

Not sure how this all works, if there is so much cash from tariffs why is national debt so high.

10

u/allmylifeacircle 1d ago

Why isn't anyone remembering the promise of 2k tarriff check?

8

u/Sad_Highlight_9059 1d ago edited 1d ago

The Trump regime is already having to pay back the tariffs, but not to consumers. Which is definitely something they could have made happen. Republicans could have legislated that the tariff refunds go back to consumers, not businesses, but they didn't. This is all a transparent bribe to get support.

Also, just a reminder, if you are a conservative who is unhappy with Trump, and have thought at all about how a Dem Congress could stop him after the midterms, then I want you to remember 1 thing.

CONGRESS CAN STOP HIM NOW. YOUR REPUBLICAN SENATORS & REPRESENTATIVES ARE ALL COWARDS WHO WON'T STAND UP TO PRESIDENT PEDO McPOOPY-PANTS.

6

u/FortunateInsanity 1d ago

I’m now in the downward slope of just waiting to see where the bottom of the stupid barrel is. I no longer have hope. The new levels of stupid we have achieved in the US over the past 2 years have each been an awakening for me.

3

u/rahnbj 1d ago

Trickle down stupid really. The enablers of the Orange menace know better, they are either too scared , apathetic, or both. Never forget about the enablers, do not let them just wait out the inevitable and then declare they were never on board. No

6

u/EnergyHumble3613 1d ago

Add it to the pile of other monetary promises that aren’t being paid out.

Pretty sure people are already owed $2000.

5

u/Burned_Out_Paradise 1d ago

Well then, there are a lot of ‘Muricans beyond help… Seriously.. they’ll be waiting with their hands out..

5

u/AmbiiX 1d ago

If there was any wealth for us we'd have seen evidence of it by now. Just more empty promises to help trick the country's dumbest and most vulnerable into voting for a dictator.

3

u/Zealousideal_Two6045 1d ago

The funniest part is the US debt has already rose by 3.8 trillion dollars from conalds 20 month term.

If that number were 3.9 trillion then it would be about 15,000 per person.

Has life gotten better?

4

u/Strict-Carrot4783 1d ago

you are beyond help

Which is why civil war is all but inevitable. Republicans need to be purged.

4

u/Top_Standard_4369 1d ago

What a bunch of bull 💩

3

u/B0wmanHall 1d ago

So who exactly is currently benefiting from the "incredible wealth they are creating"? Hmmm

3

u/BroseppeVerdi 1d ago

Just a reminder: This is IN ADDITION to the $2,000 tarrif checks they promised earlier this year, the $9,000 per child checks promised last week, and the $5,000 DOGE dividend checks from 2025.

3

u/purpleplez 1d ago

Not one conversation on how illegal this is! I pray everyone with half a brain sees through the lie. But I doubt it.

3

u/MadnessBomber 1d ago

If the tariffs actually generated revenue, then why is our debt exploding?

3

u/Vacant-stair 1d ago

What's to stop Democrats from promising the exact same thing? It's their money too.

3

u/myownquest 1d ago

Fucking liar

3

u/loricomments 1d ago

Returning our own money is not sharing the wealth. And the national debt would like a word about the "wealth we're generating".

3

u/Butt_Sex_And_Tacos 1d ago

If there are still people left to run the numbers on this administration when it’s finally over, it is going to be mind blowing how much money these people have siphoned both out of the taxpayers and the economy, not to mention all the various scams they’ve been running their supporters through the whole way. It will probably be known as one of the most malicious wealth transfers in history.

3

u/HoneyBadgerLive 1d ago

Vance: "if you vote for us, we'll give you back to money we took from you."

3

u/Butt_Sex_And_Tacos 1d ago

More like “some of the money, maybe, we will see, trust me”

3

u/IngloriousMustards 1d ago

Oh I see, so he’s just re-promising the earlier broken promise of a tariff rebate!

3

u/Delicious_Invite_850 1d ago

I am hoping this is a sign of desperation. Meaning they know they are going to be slaughtered at the poles moving forward.

3

u/Pale_Horror_853 1d ago

The wealth the government creates should go to benefit all Americans. Not to mention WE ARE THE ONES PAYING FOR THE TARIFFS! They are all arrogant, detached, condescending pricks.

3

u/MessagingMatters 1d ago

Remember when Republicans cared about the national debt? Oh right, that's only when a Democrat is in the White House.

3

u/Maximus15637 1d ago

Remember when we were going to forgive all 1.5 trillion of federal student debt but conservatives lost their shit saying it was unaffordable? And now.... crickets? This would be MORE costly since it would come out of the existing budget immediately, forgiving debt would only constrain future income while also turbo-boosting the economy in the mean time.

3

u/Miserable_History795 1d ago

For those too thick to understand, he's bribing Americans to vote R. THAT'S ILLEGAL!

2

u/CLONE-11011100 1d ago

Correct under Title 18 U.S. Code 597, it is a serious federal crime to buy or sell votes.

This means using money as an incentive to sway how a person votes or whether they vote. If you are convicted of this crime, you could face up to 2 years in federal prison.

3

u/pikachu191 1d ago

What about paying down the national debt if supposedly tariffs has made the US trillions?

u/DilfTannen 1d ago

"Vote for us so you can get back some of the money we've been taking from you!" Absolutely insane.

2

u/No_Manches_Man 1d ago

Why not pay the deficit with that extra tariff money then?

2

u/ffmich01 1d ago

Also if we really do have this massive surplus, how come we also have a massive deficit? Including 2 Trillion in deficits and counting this fiscal year and $168 Billion last month alone!if you have so much money coming in, why are you still borrowing a TON of money?

2

u/One_Diet_8697 1d ago

Bribery. Simple as that. He is/ they are corrupt both ways.

2

u/Youngnathan2011 1d ago

Even if we are buying the idea that they created "incredible wealth," that money came from regular people paying for the tariffs. They'd just be returning it. Except they're only going to return it if we vote Republican? What they going to do if we vote Democrat, burn the money? They're outright saying they are holding our money hostage.

Of course the truth is the rebates will never come, just like $5,000 DOGE dividend never came, $2,000 tariff rebate checks never came, and annual $1,000 to $1,500 rebates to health savings accounts never came. Another empty promise. The money is with the billionaire companies and they aren't refunding it to customers. What's worse is tariffs effectively created a nationwide price fix, and prices aren't coming down.

I expect that, if these checks are even real, that they will be given to Republican voters, and he would find some excuse to ostracize Democrats and people who didn't or can't vote.

The funniest thing about the tariff rebates they were forced to repay is most of that money went to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's hedge fund. Immediately after liberation day, he started buying up the rights to collect here at rebates for pennies on the dollar from foreign companies.. if they were deemed illegal.

So they knew that they would be damned illegal, let Nick brought up all the rights to collect rebates, and he made tens of billions of dollars while we all pay more for everything.

I don’t believe it… but it makes more sense than “democratic socialism”.

It doesn't matter; even if Republicans win the midterms those checks will never go out.

Incredible wealth they're creating for themselves.

They can't even make up bullshit promises that they'll break, they just go straight for the bribe money.

It's been fanatsy accounting for decades after decades.

You can't even get half of the nation to care about all of the fraud that has been committed year after year so far. They just pass laws holding those who expose it guilty for noticing.

u/mjayultra 1d ago

Why is the President only using this “incredible wealth” on his own vanity projects? It’s OUR money.

He's reached the point where he's like "They'll believe anything" And his devotees do ... they will fight logic with whatever illness they seem to have

Haven’t we spent the last decade+ listening to these idiots claim that the Democrats are “bribing“ voters by… Providing public services?
