I found when testing Gemini a large percentage of it's "sources" tend to be reddit posts, which in itself wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if it didn't confidently present it's findings as reputable facts instead of a random person's opinion. We are in a death spiral of slop that's picking up steam fast.

I saw a video of a man with a bin on his head who was in an election against some creepy man in the UK and he had a policy for climate change.
"Anyone who does not accept human made climate change as a fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, "to see if anything goes in the second time around."
Unfortunately the bin didn't win but I love his policy.

Seriously question - is a count not a lord in England? Or does they have a different honorific?
I know the old french aristocracy got weird with them though - but for obvious reasons they don't get used anymore outside of Monaco and Andorra.
Do the English also have odd rules for "Lord" like Monseigneur?

Count is a specific rank within the nobility "system" for a lack of a better word. Lord is a more general term, but it's not reserved for the nobles. Some religious persons for instance are titled lords.
I'm in no ways very knowledgeable about the subject, though 😂

England doesn't have Counts. For complicated historical reasons, they have Earls (Jarls) instead. Foreign counts would be considered nobility, but there aren't a ton left.
However, "Earless" is a silly word, so the wife of an Earl, or a woman holding an earldom in her own right, is a Countess.

Are you asking about the rules of European aristocracy on the internet? I don't know anything about them myself, but I enjoy the amount of words that come out of people's mouths who do.
However, I have noticed that no two peoples piles of words seem to match. In my experience this usually means no one really knows what's going on, but we just all agree to go along with it.

Looked it up, and the answer is technically no as while Lord is a generic title for any member of the Peerage of the United Kingdom, Count is not one of the titles a Peerage member can hold. The closest equivalent would be Earl.

Whilst I agree with you, it appears that the issue with it is that monetary interests almost always correlates with the willfully ignorant standpoint and that's difficult to combat. On Xitter Musk himself is spreading "The Great Replacement" bollocks, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change are throwing money on climate denial and media such as Fox News are benefiting greatly from all kinds of misinformation.
It's an orchestrated pandemic and it continues to be in the favour of those with the most power and the most to lose, the comparison with Copernicus and how he got treated by the church at the time feels appropriate. There's this delusion that two different opinions should be given equal time or it's unfair, but the opinion that goes against the consensus of 99.99% of scientific discovery shouldn't be given equal representation. If one person says "It's raining outside." and the other responds with "No, it isn't." a journalist is supposed to look outside and see which one's true, but in pace with human knowledge ever expanding science can be difficult to grasp.
Scientific consensus isn't the goal of science, it's the consequence of it and still we hear arguments such as "it's just a theory". This, of course, is a deliberate tactic to undermine the scientific community, through this, 'theory' becomes the colloquial equivalent to the scientific 'hypothesis'. I don't know how to fix it practically, but pseudoscience is far too powerful in a world where sounding certain is more important than objective reporting.
This became a bit of a rant, I'll go yell at some clouds!

We fix it by telling people no.
No you can’t come on our show. No you can’t hold this job with those opinions, your free speech doesn’t trump mine. No you can’t eat here if you’re going to act like that. No you don’t get to homeschool your child, you barely graduated highschool and majored in finance. No. No. No. No. No. The educated and the skilled need to change our default to No until individual people prove they are deserving of yes.
We need to shut the willfully ignorant out of the benefits of knowledge. You don’t need to be smart, but you need to be willing to learn and admit others know more than you about certain things or those of us that are shouldn’t be forced to suffer you.
It starts small. Businesses are free to refuse service for any reason and choosing to be a dumbass isn’t a protected class. We simply need to stop serving these people wherever we can hopefully people realize how much more pleasant it is to be where they aren’t. These people are so insecure at not being the default majority that being excluded from even a few places would be enough for a reaction.

You have to start with the parents who never tell their kid no or teach them about accountability lmao.
See it on YouTube all the time people get cops called on them and they are being told no for the first time in their life and have to accept accountability for what they did. As a result the person crashes-out because they've always gotten away with everything and could do no wrong and don't know how to handle being told what to do. So they upgrade their ticket to a Felony or at-least an arrest and a night in jail.
I've seen mid 30 year old's call their parents or crying for the cops to call their mom over a literal ticket. Then the parents show up and act like their kid is still a child and how they didn't do anything wrong etc.

technically we don't use the term "global warming" any more we use "climate change" because the climate is complex and even though its an increase to average global temperatures some areas will become colder.
eg areas of europe currently warmed by the gulf stream will become colder when that collapses.

This happened to me in a public speech class. We had to give an informational speech and when the TA saw my slides she edited them heavily saying it was a persuasive speech designed to convince people when all I presented was the theory of climate change, not that it was real and what we should do about it. Nonetheless, I made all her changes and gave the speech. When I sat down everyone was like gee thanks way to set the bar waaaay too high. I ended up getting a B when a girl gave a speech about her new puppy with just picture slides and got an A. Bothers me to this day and I’m 41.

One teacher told us Salmon are saltwater fish. His reasoning was that we had Altantic and Pacific Salmon which indicated that they were resided in the ocean and thus saltwater. He sent me to the Principal's office for insisting/arguing that salmon could also live in freshwater. When my mom came to pick me up, she brought in a hunting and fishing magazine that featured an article on freshwater salmon and stuck it in my teacher's mail cubby on our way out.

Somehow this is worse than calling it a hoax. Like if I say an object is made of wood, that statement can be true or false, but neither it being true nor false is an opinion. The issue isn't just as deep as being misinformed about what's real, it's the fundamental misunderstanding of what truth is, and that it's something that exists independently from perception.
