They have really good chemistry as dance partners.

u/ManInTheMorning 2h ago

Pretty sure these two are both professional dancers as well as a married couple.

u/snailman4 1h ago

KP and Bryn aren't married yet, and weren't when the video was recorded, but they are engaged now!

u/DanGleeballs 33m ago

I thought this was the French dancer. She is amazing. Looks similar.

u/periodicallyBalzed 2h ago

I don’t know if they are married, but they are definitely fucking,

48

u/Similar_Search3987 1h ago

I used to dance salsa for six years.

There was indeed fucking. Dudes don't realise how you can go from conventionally attractive to 'hot' by just being an average dancer.

But what I really believe is that girls get to examine you up close for prolonged periods during dance classes and nights out and can then easier decide if you're a safe person or someone to avoid. And if you smell good

Before he moved away a few years ago, I had a colleague that went from 300 pound stinky otaku to “this dude fucks” in like 2 years thanks to dancing.

u/stickdude34 24m ago

Some of us dudes do 🤫

Actually, in this community, it’s a very fun environment. They are actually married, but, Ken would’ve done that anyways lol.

Correction: engaged. For some reason I thought they were already married

25

u/notsooriginal 1h ago

KP has natural chemistry with most of his partners!

12

u/Street_Resident_4082 1h ago

I know right! Actually I loved his dancing even back when he was in all-star.

8

u/Confident-Habit9645 1h ago

That was a joy to watch. What a good group of people.

1

u/ShittyDBZGuitarRiffs 46m ago

You’re saying Ken would have f*cked her even if they weren’t married?/engaged?

u/Street_Resident_4082 11m ago

no, but Ken definitely takes advantage of when he get the sexy songs. LoL

241

u/Greedyanda 2h ago

Like pretty much all dancers that spend more than 5 minutes in a room together.

u/HumongousBelly 1h ago

Whole new meaning to that song "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"

Actually, upon further inspection of the lyrics, I dont think Whitney was talking about dancing at all

2

u/metahivemind 55m ago

"I wanna Horizontal Folkdance with Somebody who Loves Me"

5

u/otikik 1h ago

Are we human? Or are we dancer?

5

u/Traditional-Tip1904 1h ago

Is this really a thing?

6

u/AlarmedPenwing 57m ago

No. While dance can be a great way to find someone, it does not automatically mean people are fucking. I do this exact dance, and every night I go out and dance with a ton of people, young, old, men, women, and I'm married...

Granted to a dancer, but not all of those people.

Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollmann are retired from routine competition, but dominated the circuit for over a decade. Not a couple.
Benji Schwimmer and Heidi Groskreutz, Kellese Key, Torri Smith, and Nicole Ramirez - dominated the competition circuit and he was not a couple with any of them (he's gay).
Brandi Tobias and Ronnie DeBennedetta - champion level couple back in the day, not a couple.
PJ Turner and Tashina Beckmann (another viral WCS dance video pairing) - not a couple. Nor is PJ and his current partner Mia Pastor.

There are plenty of couples who are actual couples, including the subject here. But it is not what Redditors who've never touched a member of the opposite sex think.

5

u/ShittyDBZGuitarRiffs 43m ago

You do sound alarmed

1

u/AlarmedPenwing 32m ago

Thanks for the laugh!

3

u/Successful-Day-1816 1h ago

Pretty much. I only know a few people who do dancing like this and all ended up getting off with their partners. My friend's dad had a new dancing partner for a few weeks and left his wife for her.

3

u/wittyrandomusername 48m ago

Not if I was a dancer.

3

u/Mrfatmanjunior 1h ago

Where can I sign up?

1

u/Zanydrop 56m ago

This style is called West Coast and there is probably scene in your city. It's super fun.

4

u/veggie151 1h ago

Stretching, cardio, good music, and an audience

8

u/Major_R_Soul 1h ago

Oh they Fawkin!

2

u/lostRiddler 1h ago

so dance without pants?

2

u/manowar89 1h ago

Yeah, fucking good (at dancing)

2

u/Bashfullylascivious 53m ago

After this, at the very least.

1

u/iTzbr00tal 1h ago

They are step-spouses.

1

u/jkrplk 1h ago

Disgusting!

1

u/You_are_safe_now 1h ago

I do not understand why my brain thought this same thing 3 seconds into this clip.

1

u/Sad-Indication2128 35m ago

I'd kinda like to watch them fuck in an entirely non-sexual way. I bet it would be really interesting.

30

u/Casul_Tryhard 2h ago

Engaged, not married. But yes, they're pros!

24

u/POI_Harold-Finch 2h ago

I was thinking they are practicing pre-wedding event dance moves. That would be hilarious from bride and groom perspective

4

u/bactchan 1h ago

Can't wait to see the wedding reception videos. That first dance is gonna go OFF.

8

u/PM_FAILED_PROMISES 1h ago

Damn. Now I'm sad. They all look so full of life.

2

u/tenuousemphasis 1h ago

It's not, it's KP Rutlege and his wife Bryn.

1

u/PM_FAILED_PROMISES 1h ago

Ah. Thank you.

3

u/localtuned 1h ago

Ah fuck I just learned that too. That's sad. They're great dancers.

-1

u/PemCorgiMom 1h ago

No, it’s not.

12

u/mekwall 1h ago

She seems to be in a completely different league from him technically. He clearly knows how to dance, but her movements are much quicker, sharper, and more precisely defined. She also looks more athletic and controlled. That said, they have great chemistry together, which makes the difference in skill level matter a lot less.

24

u/sputtertots 1h ago

There is a company (as in group) they play with called West Coast Swing, its on the tube. Its sorta typical in this genre that the woman have slightly more look at me moves and the men will feed off that or set them up for that and sometimes do their own little signature move. Its really about cooperation tbh.

I love watching the Jack and Jill competitions, its fun when they draw their partners which they may have never danced with before but probably know their signature moves and feed off that. Its a lot of fun, hubs and I used to west coast swing when we were younger.

Those two know each other really well tho.

1

u/mekwall 1h ago

Thanks for the info! That actually makes a lot of sense and changes how I read the clip a bit. I was interpreting her sharper, more attention-grabbing movements as a difference in skill level, but if that's partly how West Coast Swing is structured, then his dancing makes a lot more sense too.

And honestly, the cooperation is probably what stood out most anyway. They seem very tuned in to each other, which explains why the whole thing looks so effortless despite them having pretty different styles.

-1

u/Dizzy-Put-7393 1h ago

Why comment with a judgement statement when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about then? Just makes no sense

3

u/mekwall 1h ago

Because I was commenting on what it looked like to me (note that I used the word "seems"), not presenting myself as an expert on West Coast Swing. Someone who actually knows the dance explained what I was missing, I thanked them, and I adjusted my view accordingly.

I'd much rather be wrong about something, learn why, and change my mind than pretend I already knew everything before commenting.

-2

u/Dizzy-Put-7393 46m ago

Go back and read your first comment. You made an absolute fuck ton of qualitative statements without knowing a fucking thing about it

So confident in your ignorance

3

u/mekwall 39m ago edited 35m ago

"Confident in your ignorance" is a bit much. My impression was based on what I've seen from other dance pairs and on being an amateur dancer myself. I never claimed to be an authority on West Coast Swing, which is why I said she "seems" to be in a different league.

You seem to be treating this very black-and-white, as if people shouldn't share an impression or opinion unless they're experts on the subject. I don't think that's a reasonable standard, and the world would be very boring if it were.

I gave my impression, someone with more specific knowledge explained what I was missing, and I adjusted my view. That's not being confidently ignorant. That's just how normal discussion works.

1

u/UndergroundManXII 30m ago

Ha. Hello fellow hater of this shit. Ahaha.

The cake eating and having it too is always so good. "Which makes the difference in skill level matter a lot less." OH NO I WASN'T...

Yea okay chief. Sure you fucking weren't.

1

u/Rikplaysbass 1h ago

Everybody is an authority on whatever 15 second clip they watch. Most surprising thing is that they acknowledged and accepted the new info lol

3

u/mekwall 1h ago

To be fair, I specifically said she "seems" to be in a different league. I was describing my impression from the clip, not claiming to be an authority on the genre.

Then someone who clearly knows more about it gave me some useful context, so I updated my view. That's kind of the point of using words like "seems" in the first place.

2

u/whyohwhythis 1h ago

I thought the exact same thing.

108

u/SmaugTheMagnificent- 2h ago

It's so fluid and natural, and they're having fun. I should really just shut reddit down now for today and end on a good note.

10

u/Terrible-Effect-2966 1h ago

Same thought brother I’m out

3

u/Dreamlion_Inc 1h ago

Smart move. The next video I saw after this was an AI pigeon with big feet. Quit while you’re ahead

Also my algorithm is fucked

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 26m ago

I'm have trouble with what dancing is conceptually.

So thank you for saying that they were good. I didn't know if I would open this thread and everyone would be laughing

0

u/RegretWhich8722 1h ago

So did you? Or did you keep scrolling? XD

43

u/donutfiend84 2h ago

They are west coast swing pros. KP Rutland and Bryn Anderson. Even by pro standards they are incredible!

3

u/Street_Resident_4082 1h ago

They’re married.

0

u/Lumpy-Shop988 46m ago

Dating, not married

1

u/MeowgicalB 21m ago

Engaged, currently planning the wedding!

u/Street_Resident_4082 11m ago
