Actually dogs pulled carts all around the world. Your all around farm dogs hauled food/goods into villages to sell and trade. Your average subsistence farmer around the world could never afford large livestock. Newfies used to pull carts to bring fish to markets, German Shepards pulled vegetables/goods into markets.

Well sorta but in reality you do actually have e to control the horses. They can just kinda go but unless you take one path all the time they dont really know where you wanna go. They'll try to keep themselves safe which usually keeps your cart safe but not always. They may not consider the consequences of gravity i mean horses are smart but there's a limit on how well they can handle planning what a cart will do on a given road or scenario

So I'm showing my age a bit here. My great grand father used to take the mule drawing a buck wagon down a few miles to the inn on occasion, which doubled as a bar and restaurant, and drink himself silly. Not every day, but often enough. When he was done he would climb back in and just let the mule take him home. My grandfather would get him inside, take care of the mule.

He actually passed last year at 13. He was the best, most ridiculous boy! Best friend to my kids, even though no amount of training could keep him from stealing any snacks left unattended. Taught my oldest that not all dogs are bad (he was terrified of all dogs because of his aunt's abused, mean dog). Helped teach my youngest a deep love of animals in general.

Dogs pant to expel heat, this does not indicate thirst. Dogs do not sweat like humans, by panting they're taking in cool air and eliminating excess heat. Hoomans will often give dogs water and they look at you like your stupid because they don't need water, they just need to pant until they cool down.

In Victorian times in Germany they used to use small boys with dog-drawn carts to deliver groceries, milk, etc.
In “Three Men On A Bummell” Jerome K Jerome describes the absolute chaos that reigns when the butcher’s dog decides to have a fight with the baker’s dog, and then all the little boys join in the fight as well.
This doggie is far better behaved than that, but I still think that dog-drawn carts are kind of a cool way for kids to get around.

I'm getting old. I get upset when I think something doesn't fit the sub. Not just this one but this is definitely one of the worst offenders.
In my mind, of course. Like for next fucking level I expect my mind to be blown. Or for something to be extremely original requiring level skill not possessed by most people.
A dog towing a little girl in the cart is neat. I could even say interesting.
I know it can seem like no big deal. So what if it doesn't really fit the sub because it's still neat? Well we have subs for a reason. Otherwise why don't we just throw everything in one basket?
But whatever. I guess everything good goes away.
